I've decided to start posting at this blog again. I quit back in 2005 and turned my focus to Bigfoot only. I'm still subscribing to the Coast to Coast AM streamlink and will start blogging here again in the very near future.

Back in the day, this was one of my most successful blogs. So much has changed since I started it in 2001, and yet, there are also many things that have stayed the same.

One thing you won't see here is a black background with white lettering. Blogs like that are so hard to read! ...and the color scheme is so common for paranormal blogs.

Love That Podcast!

Just like thousands of other Streamlink devotees I downloaded my share of podcasting software this week and am hoping for an upgrade. I'd like to see the downloaded files listed when I click on that cute little alien head symbol in my system tray. As it is now I have to seek them out on my harddrive. Any creative workaround suggestions would be appreciated. I just got a new computer and am having to get used to a new operating system. There's nothing like coming up in the world - stressful, but necessary.

Now that I've got that off my mind - let me tell you - the podcasting feature is great! I'm enjoying having the files downloaded for easy access. I don't know what I'll do when my 40 gigs are full of streamlink files ... I'll have to get a new large external hard drive just to store my Coast broadcasts in.

Next step: Subscribe to After Dark. I honestly intend to do that one of these days. Gotta keep informed, just in case the internet isn't enough, you know?

Now excuse me while I go listen to last night's podcast.

Earth Tremors, Volcanic Terrorism

During the first hour of the show last night George Noory interviewed R.B. Trombley - director & principal research volcanologist at Southwest Volcanic Research Center. His website is a fount of molten information on volcanic eruptions worldwide.

He told Coast listeners that "the most feared volcano in the U.S. today" is Mount Rainier in the state of Washington. I read an article about this volcano several years ago... it said that when Rainier erupts it may spill lava all over Seattle. A very threatening thought. Rainier hasn't erupted since 1894 and it's due anytime now.

The second-most site of interest in the U.S. is of course Yellowstone. I went there several times when I was a teenager... many years ago. I remember how beautiful it was. This was when Old Faithful really did erupt once every hour. Anyhow, after listening to all the dire predictions on Coast to Coast AM I am naturally afraid to go back, no matter how lovely it was. I never wanted to be a statistic.

I live closest to Mt.Shasta - I nearly decided to live just downhill from there but that was when I was inspired to research volcanos... and I eventually moved to the forest about 100 miles away.

Mr. Wizard

George used to watch Mr. Wizard when he was younger. MUCH younger... so when he found out about Mr. Wizard's website he asked the wizard himself to be on Coast to Coast AM.

Mr. Wizard said he was trained to be a science teacher when he was very young, then decided to go into television. He said, "When it was time to do television I went to the library and looked for all kinds of things kids could do."

He made notes and organized them then tried to sell his ideas to television producers. They were looking for educational shows at the time and bought his idea of a science program. NBC put it on the air without charging the Serial Institute as a public affairs program, something that most likely would never happen today. The first Mr. Wizard show was in 1951, a year before I was born.

Thanks to his science teacher training he was able to adapt his prior knowledge for television. He came up with the idea of a child coming to his house and the two of them doing experiments together. He met kids and they'd ask how to get on the show.

My teenager says he's seen a Mr. Wizard episode on tv. He started telling me about what he'd seen (electricity show) and then George and Mr. Wizard started talking about the same episode. Coincidence? My son was kind of spooked about that. I asked him what he thinks the universe is using a "coincidence" to try to tell him.

Mr. Wizard said some people claimed they became scientists because of him but he doesn't believe that. I guess he thinks they would have become scientists anyway... but they consider him an early influence.

During this segment of the show George also had Richard Hoagland on the air because today is Hoagie's 60th birthday. Then Walter Cronkite called to wish him a Happy Birthday. Interesting.

I looked at Mr. Wizard's website and see possibilities... these books and DVD's could be used for homeschooling curriculum.

Mr. Wizard's favorite shows were True or False and Adhesives. George said the kids he picked were excellent - and Mr. Wizard told him they were acting and had seen the experiments before.

They had no scripts or teleprompters - but he worked from an outline. Though most of the shows were in black and white, there are seventy 1/2-hour episodes in color.

Brian and Ruth Christine are in prison for trying to get their kids back from Oregon's version of Child Protective Services - unfortunately - they did it the illegal way, taking them out of a social worker's van at gunpoint.

My sympathy has always been with the Christines.

They are a young Christian couple with five young children (at the time of the original Grants Pass, Oregon abduction of their children, they had three and one on the way). The children were judged to be malnourished (this was a vegetarian family) and one had a small bandaged cut on her forehead from falling down after her father tried to push her back into bed in the middle of the night when he was tired.

For these "crimes" the Christine family was destroyed by the state - and when they were facing Termination of Parental Rights a year later, Brian and Ruth decided to steal their kids back. Unfortunately they got caught, were convicted for custodial interference and robbery ( ! ) and are in prison.

Please pray for the Christine family! One good thing that came out of this is that the children were not adopted out to strangers. Because this became a very high-profile case the three older children were adopted out to the maternal grandparents in England. The two youngest are with the paternal grandmother in Indiana.

On Friday night George interviewed Corinna Kaufman and David Wilcock - both at the New Life Expo in San Francisco where George will be speaking this Sunday.

Corinna Kaufman is a Clinical Alchemical Hypnotherapist. She said she's had two brain surgeries (for cancer) but used guided imagery to help cure herself. Her specialty is self-healing and she now helps others in the same way she helped herself. She also had a twenty year eating disorder that caused her much pain and even suicidal feelings before she was healed. She believed God wouldn't have her suffer for twenty years for nothing. Her faith made her feel she would overcome the problem and do something big with the information.

David Wilcock was on the show next. He's the young man who looks remarkably like the young Edgar Cayce, who many people believe is the reincarnation of Cayce. There's photos on his website, Ascension2000.Com, to show the resemblance.

He has free e-books online - they may be of interest to investigating people. There's a three-volume set called the Convergence Series: The Shift of the Ages, The Science of Oneness, and The Divine Cosmos.

The rest of the show was open lines with people talking about their prophetic dreams. I've had some but didn't feel moved to try to phone in to the show.

Burney Bigfoot Encounter - Tom Biscardi

Tom Biscardi of the Great American Bigfoot Organization was on Coast to Coast AM tonight with George Noory - describing the recent bigfoot encounter he had in Burney.

He's been in this business (bigfoot hunting) for over thirty years. He found footprints - then while looking for more evidence he noticed a creature hunched over, watching the crew. He threw his walking stick at the bigfoot.

He said he was ticked off because he didn't have his gear with him - they didn't expect to see anything in the location. He was about 130 yards away from it. This bigfoot had a stride of 64 inches.

Very exciting! This happened not far from where I live here in Northern California.

Biscardi said, "These creatures, they travel in breeding pools. Breeding pools meaning there's males, females, and young ones."

"Up in this area there's subway caves - lava tubes." The natives were afraid to go in because of huge hairy beasts.

He said he's from the East Coast and when he came here he had to learn everything about tracking and eating off the land to prepare for his bigfoot expeditions.

Dennis from Kentucky called saying he went camping near Bryson, North Carolina. He woke up to a lot of noise, and heard a huge log crash against a tree, then he heard a howling. Another guy said he heard a freight train go through the campsite that night. They left and hiked more than 20 miles, and then the same thing happened. He said the howl wasn't intimidating - it was more melancholy and sad.

Tom said this was a bigfoot telling him he's entered their terrain.

George asked Tom if anyone has been attacked. Tom says two - one man was kidnapped and kept in a cave. He escaped and when he tried to bring in law enforcement they'd migrated away.

They are starting a bigfoot museum and hope to get more bigfoot evidence in the near future.

The Pope, Prophecy, and John Hogue

John Hogue was on the show tonight talking with George about the new pope Benedict. They say Saint Malachy, who lived in the 1140's, predicted details about every pontiff that would come - until the judgment day. Today's pope is supposed to be second from the last.

Because I'm an interfaith believer - I don't care for the way the pope - representative of one religion - is getting so much media attention. I realize George is Catholic and I think Art and Ramona also are Catholic or at least have connections to the religion. So all power to them for talking about their religion on their show. I think that's their right. But in general - to have the pope in every newspaper in the country - on the front page - is overkill.

I always enjoy listening to John Hogue - though this was different - I usually hear him talking about Nostradamus prophecies. His website is Hogue Prophecy.

I was surprised to hear him mention 'Abdu'l-Baha as a "Persian mystic" and "Prophet of the League of Nations"... seems strange to hear anyone on Coast to Coast AM mention the Baha'i Faith. They mention the Catholics, Christians, Muslims, Pagans, and more, but this is the first time I've heard a guest bring up Baha'i. This is an issue for me. Anyhow, that was nice.

Also I appreciated what Hogue said about the atomic bombing of the Japanese in WW2. George said it was good because it stopped the war and Hogue countered that with the information it is an American myth - that the war actually ended because of the Chinese invasion of Manchuria. He said the US has never owned up to what it did which was a crime against humanity. I AGREE. Killing every man, woman, and child in a city should not be part of war. But then - there should be no war anyhow. Those bombings were just plain wrong and I admire Hogue for saying it.

Hogue said, "If we're going to be above crimes against humanity we also have to look at some of the crimes we've committed and own up to it and get straight with it and realize that we're still capable and in some regards eager to use nuclear weapons again - more than some of the other people that we're pointing the finger, getting excited about."

When George asked if the date 2012 comes up in prophecy, Hogue said yes, but the year 2008 is of more importance due to the ending of a planetary cycle... sorry I can't explain the whole thing as I can't understand his words.

Hogue prophecies more religious extremism during the next decade.

The interview with Hogue was fascinating, but the next guest was even more exciting, if you can imagine. I will have to relisten to the interview before I can write about it - and that may be done tomorrow.

Another Bigfoot Sighting!

There was another bigfoot sighting - this one ON FILM... in Northern Manitoba. The report is in the Winnepeg Free Press.

A man was working when he saw Bigfoot. He takes his camcorder everywhere and naturally grabbed it and got a few minutes of footage which you can see on the web at this site.

There's a long history of bigfoot sightings in Manitoba.

A rant about the Winnepeg Free Press - they have no right to use the word "free" in their name - that's false advertising. It appears that access to their online newspaper is not allowed unless you PAY.

I don't like all the newspaper registrations on the internet. If they want to be so greedy with their news, why bother putting it on the internet? I run an online news site (for a very small town) and we do nothing like this.

If it were my local newspaper I'd boycott it - and turn on the TV news, or just read news from the internet... there's plenty of other news sites with open access.

The guest, Bill Sweet, is a researcher proving the power of prayer using scientific means. The evidence is compelling.

Much of the show concerned the founders of this study, Bruce and John Klingbeil, who died under very mysterious circumstances. Their deaths - made to look like suicide - could be homicide instead. One tends to wonder why someone would want to kill co-founders of Spindrift, a father and his son, owners of a prayer research laboratory.

Art says the eggs are doing something... well, I haven't researched this yet but... he said go to Google and look for "black box Princeton". I did - and this is what I found.

I remember we heard about this years ago right after the 9/11 disaster. This is the Human Consciousness Project. Their computers register human consciousness changes PRIOR TO disasters. Apparently many "beeps and gongs" on the system warn us something is about to happen.

Uh-oh...

Was there a change right before the tsunami? Or would it only warn of human-caused disasters?

Tonight Art is interviewing Dr. Ronald Klatz about the Marburg virus... and I'm really not feeling up to hearing or reading about this. As I write I'm coming down with some kind of flu or cold... so listening to the Marburg talk is giving me the willies.

Plus it is just plain horrible... what's happening in Africa.

If this kind of thing is spread intentionally I am appalled that people are picking on Africans - they've been through so much already with the AIDS epidemic.

I had no idea I was so controversial!

I guess I did come off slightly sarcastic and rude in that posting. It's a way of writing that looks (hopefully) at both sides of an issue. I had and still have utmost respect for Dr. Plait but I feel when I say only good things about something or someone, it comes off as being unreal. But analyzing both good and bad sounds realistic. I intended my comments about the show to be more positive than negative.

Believe me, if I hear something on Coast to Coast that I totally don't agree with, I usually don't mention it in this weblog. There are certain guests I've heard that I just don't jive with at all and believe it's better to say nothing in those instances than to say something negative. But if your show didn't get mentioned here it probably has nothing to do with my feelings... it's more likely that I was just tired that night and didn't feel like writing - or I just didn't listen at all for one reason or another.

The Last Log of the Titanic

David G. Brown, author of this book, was the main guest on tonight's show. His explanations of the disaster contradict the official explanation and the movie.

Great show - but so much of it went over my head. I plan to download it and listen again with my homeschooling teenager, Aaron, who's always had an interest in shipwrecks, especially Titanic. He was interested in Titanic before the movie was produced, and gave a report on it during a social studies fair when he was in first grade. It was a proud mom moment, believe me.

If you click on the Amazon book link above you'll be able to read what others thought of his book - all very intriguing.. especially the comments of one reader who was an archaeologist working on Titanic. Certainly looks like a book worth having.

Due to my son's interest we've purchased and read several books on Titanic already.

George Noory just interviewed John Rappoport of No More Fake News about a current news story. It appears that some lab sent out samples of a 1957 flu virus to other labs around the country and now they're telling the press that they're afraid this terrible virus will get out and infect us. Rappoport and Noory are concerned that this is a form of terrorism - drug companies trying to fill the public with fear so when they come up with "the cure" - another vaccine - we'll all want to go out and get it. This of course would give some lucky drug manufacturer lots of money out of the federal treasury.

What a scam. Can you imagine people being so depraved as to intentionally spread a virulent old flu just to earn money? It is sick... no pun intended. hehehe I wish I was bright enough to think of puns like that, but I'm not.

And it is nothing to laugh about anyway. Quit laughing. (in case you are)

What I thought they were going to say was that the mastermind behind this "mistake" might want us all to die from the flu. But instead they talked about the vaccine issue and discussed how unbelievable it is to think that this was a mistake. After all someone had to take the 1957 flu virus out of storage. Someone knew what they were doing. It was no mistake. Someone must have intentionally done this and now they're using the issue to frighten us.

After hearing this I went to look at Rappoport's website and saw he's putting some very interesting books online. Membership is required to read them... and that costs a mere $80 bucks a year. Cough, cough, gag... too much for me. I'd rather subscribe to After Dark for slightly less than 40 bucks. But I pay for Streamlink by the month - and that's $83.50 - just seems less because I pay by the month. Some of us can't stand the thought of paying $80 for the privilege of reading a book...

But the site says there's hundreds of megabytes of reports, newletters, books, and audio content.

Now I'm listening to Gary Renard ... he was meditating in 1992 when two people, a man and woman, materialized in his room and gave him many insights. He wasn't frightened because they gave him peace.

He was led to read A Course In Miracles.
Later he wrote his own book, The Disappearance of the Universe, which explains concepts in A Course In Miracles.

George didn't understand what Renard was talking about but since I've read A Course In Miracles, it made sense to me... for the most part. Renard is so familiar with the subject he speaks very quickly and doesn't give me time to adjust my thinking! I can understand why George said he didn't understand Renard for twenty minutes of speaking. It was probably only understandable by those of us who know the background material in A Course In Miracles.

Renard predicts major economic expansion, the fall of communism, and extreme weather. He does not predict earth changes. He said there will be an atomic bombing in a major city which will cause a change in strategy where people will spread out more over time. He said in the future cross-country travel (USA) will take only 30 minutes.

I'm listening to the Ray Bradbury interview now. I keep smiling over and over as I hear him talk about writing, and how he loves it. I too am a writer.

If you visit Bradbury's website be sure not to miss the videos.

I read everything I could get hold of by Bradbury years ago... now I need to buy his books and read them to my teenage son - I homeschool Aaron and still read out loud to him because he's dyslexic and there's certain things I don't want him to miss just because reading is a chore for him. I especially loved The Martian Chronicles... I MUST get hold of that book again soon.

Ray Bradbury is so full of love, he keeps talking about how much he loves everyone. What a great man that is, and he's right on track... all the way.

He was on the show with another younger author, Mark Zicree. Mark is a friend of Bradbury's and is author of The Twilight Zone Companion and several other books.

I'm about to listen to the re-broadcast of George's interview with Ray Bradbury - I started to listen earlier but instead fell asleep. Thank goodness for Streamlink!

The last two nights I got terrible reception on Streamlink - I'm not sure if it was because of my computer or what - but I listened to old shows when the streamlink with Art Bell had so many drop-outs it annoyed me too much to listen to. Tonight it seems fine again.

He was Art Bell's guest tonight. I've heard him several times before and didn't hear any horrendous predictions so I'm not in a panic despite living on the West Coast.

I spent most of the show time doing updates and search engine optimization for my children's literature site so I hope I didn't miss anything important.

On Friday night there was a re-run of a great show with John Gray, author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.

He was talking about health issues. The topic was supposed to be "the over-medicated society" but it turned out to be a lot of great advice on how to stay healthy in our old age. I really appreciated it! His website is MarsVenus.Com.

I'm listening to Alex Jones on InfoWars - his comments about the Art Bell/Ben Chertoff interview (or should we say, counter-attack) ... I'm completely behind Alex Jones and yes, this is just another minor battle in the InfoWars ... of which I'm glad I'm a part with my activist website, FightCPS.Com which has been on the web since October 2000. (I have been fighting CPS via the media since 1990.)

::sigh:: I still love and respect Art Bell but I don't agree with him this time. I feel like one of those people being torn apart because my friends are arguing with one another.

Not to take this guy's statement on the air tonight -out of context- ... I think he meant that the article he wrote for Popular Mechanics to debunk 911 theories was incomplete.

Still. He seems to have a credibility problem. Most of the people over at the Streamlink message board don't believe him. He is, after all, a cousin of Michael Chertoff - who is the new head of the DHS - Department of Homeland Security. But there seems to be a few "new members" who logged on there tonight to agree with him. It all looks like disinformation to me. Many of us have been so hurt or disturbed by the federal government we no longer trust anyone speaking in defense of politicians there.

I've never made up my mind one way or another about what happened on Sept. 11, 2001 because I don't have the scientific mind to understand all these things. I listen to one side then another... and just wonder what really did happen.

Sorry no jumping to conclusions here.

I'm disappointed that Art is so angry at his listeners. I can see that many are being rude to him in email on this issue. But isn't this what always happens when someone becomes well known? And he wasn't like this before - say, about seven years ago. I seem to remember an Art Bell who put up with a lot more nonsense from his listeners without losing it and berating them.

Oh well. Times change and people change... don't we all know it?

I look forward to hearing what Alex Jones says about this. He is one of the most well-intentioned and brave men in the world today. I would not hesitate to vote for him if he ran for president of the USA... he has a heart of gold. I realize he may be slightly wrong about things now and then (aren't we all).. but I sense in him a purity of purpose that is a rarely seen quality these days.

Tonight we get to hear the other side... about 911. Debunkers of all 911 conspiracy theories. Okay. I'm willing to hear this, but as of right now I don't agree with Art. This may be partly because I'm a BIG fan of Alex Jones and InfoWars.Com ... so I'll be a hard sell. But I'd never send Art hate mail like some of the emails he's received insulting his opinion. I'm very distressed to hear about 50 dolphins that stranded themselves in the Florida Keys. George said, "I wonder what the dolphins know that we don't."

The US Military is developing a weapon that can deliver extreme pain from afar. The Pulse Energy Projectile Weapon produced pain and temporary paralysis on test animals. There are questions about the ethics of this weapon development. Of course it will be used for torture and will probably be used on Americans by Americans. Of course I thought of the torture of Winston Smith in the novel, 1984, by George Orwell.

From computer scientists in India there's a report that there may be a pole shift in 2012. They make other dire predictions and say earth may be uninhabitable soon. This is the report that worried my son. I told him not to waste any time worrying about it.

I finally connected back to Coast to Coast AM's streamlink service and I'm pulling this weblog out of mothballs.

I've enjoyed tonight's show with physicist Brooks Agnew PhD (any relation to Spiro??). His website, The Ark of Millions of Years, has the same title as his co-authored book.

This man has a theory for everything, or so it seems. I found his ideas fascinating but I can't believe everything he says. I mean, how can he know without a doubt that Adam and Eve were "genetically pure" aliens who came to live here among prehistoric humans? Still, it's great food for thought and if his book is anything like his interview tonight, it's worth reading.

I confess I am disappointed. I would love to have evidence of predictive success. I'd like to have confidence in precognition for planning my own future. But it seems to me that good predictions aren't easy to come by.

Art Bell hosted the show tonight and as usual started the program with news. "I must say, this one rocked me back on my heels," he said. He found this story at LiveScience.Com.

[What follows is a transcript of this short portion of the show.]

'By shooting intense radio beams into the night sky researchers created a modest neon light show visible from the ground. The process is not well-understood but scientists speculate it could one day be employed to light a city or even generate celestial advertisements. Researchers with the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program or HAARP project up in Alaska, tickled (their word) tickled the upper atmosphere to the extent that it glowed with green speckles. These speckles were sprinkled amid a natural display known as the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. The aurora occurs of course when electrons from a cloud of hot gas known as plasma rain down from space and excite the holy heck out of molecules in the ionosphere about thirty miles up. Now the HAARP experiment involves acres of antennas and I might add a one-megawatt, that's megawatt generator. The scientists sent radio pulses skyward every 7.5 seconds explained team-leader Todd Peterson of the Air Force Research Laboratory. Aha! The Air Force, eh?! The radio waves travel up to the ionosphere where they excite the electrons in the plasma, he told LiveScience. These electrons then collide with atmospheric gases which give off light as in a neon tube. Peterson and his colleges missed the light show but they snapped images. "Unfortunately," he said, "we were indoors watching the data on monitors during the experiment and we were busy scrambling, trying to make sure the effects were real and not some glitch with the equipment," he said joyously. "We knew right away there was something extra-ordinary showing up in real time on the monitor against the natural aurora but did not confirm it would have been visible to the naked eye until a day or two later when we had a chance to calibrate the raw data." The experiment is detailed in the February 2 issue of the journal, Nature. The researchers could improve understanding of the aurora and also help explain how the ionosphere adversely affects radio communications.'

Art continued, 'Well, well, well, well, well. Think what these men have just done. They have in essence, created an aurora. That's right. They have some reason to believe that with or without a natural aurora they can throw enough power up there so things will begin sparkling and giving off light in the atmosphere - and this is such an incredible thing to have done. I mean it takes the sun bombarding the ionosphere normally to create an aurora, right? And these guys have done it with HAARP. Now, let's think about this. What does it mean when you have created an aurora? Well, baby, when you've done that you can, you can affect radio conditions, you can affect all kinds of things actually, so that's an incredible feat to have actually created an aurora. I worry much about what they're doing up there and by the way, I would like to take this opportunity to invite any HAARP officials - anybody involved directly with the project to phone up my producer and definitely get yourself on the program. We have lots and lots of questions for you. But that is this week's HAARP news and it's non-trivial. Now what do they say we're going to do with it? Light up a city, or maybe put up advertisements. Nonsense! [Art laughs.] That's not what they're after at all. They're not trying to create some mechanism that would light a city or, you know, provide some new venue for Coca Cola to scroll across the sky. That's not it at all. They're working on other stuff. The Air Force and the other military services and of course the lettered agencies do not become involved in projects throwing billions of watts at the ionosphere so they can advertise something. Nonsense! So there you have it. That's the latest and I must say, somewhat shocking information from the northern latitudes.'

I had to turn off my stream link to save money back in October or November (yes, I'm that close to poverty).. and my husband suddenly decided he didn't want to listen to it at night in the bedroom (with his radio) anymore. So instead he's listening to political clap-trap on KGO..... and I'm missing all the good stuff. lol... I will definitely be turning the stream link back on one of these days soon.

I believe John Titor was a time traveler. I've read the Oliver Williams site about John Titor before, and was distressed that my husband wouldn't listen or take it seriously. Well, last night he listened to George Noory's interview with Oliver Williams and maybe now we can make some headway on dealing with what's coming.

As I explained to my husband, I've seen civil war coming in America for a long time. The signs are clear and I took the John Titor postings seriously mainly for that reason. I've been studying CPS and the government's destruction of American families for 15 years and it is primarily for this reason I've realized revolt will eventually happen. I am not one to fight physically but of course those people are out there and I expect they are getting ready. I have no other information other than to see the signs of the inevitable.

So anyhow, I just say all this to recommend others read the John Titor site and consider the possibility that he was telling the truth.

There was another time traveler on near the end of the show - a woman who claimed she'd been here for over 45 years and had been sent back due to a mental dysfunction of some kind (she said she was an "undesirable" and a special case). She said her name is "Gail" from 2053. She said in that year there's a much more spiritual environment. She said the year 2012 will be the last leap year. About the war - other countries will choose sides. Canada and Mexico will choose sides against us because 1 - we are sending polluted water to Mexico and 2 - Canada has a problem with the electricity provided at a huge profit by a current cabinet member connected with Alcoa. She said that if we put a grid around the world and there was a pentagon - there's a monument at each place ie: Stonehenge, Coral Castle, Eiffel Tower, etc. She said time travel happens through laser beams sent through crystals. Gold particles are sporadically shot through. Radiation takes matter to anti-matter. It is hard to understand her and she finally says she doesn't understand how her TV works either but just knows that it does.

Tonight I decided to look backwards... into the streamlink archives. I listened to Warren Getler, author of Shadow of the Sentinel: One man's quest to find the hidden treasure of the Confederacy... he was talking with George about the Knights of the Golden Circle - a secret society that buried treasure (lots of it) around the time of the Civil War.

The program was originally on 1.23.04 and was rebroadcast on 2.27.04 - I'm sure I heard part of the interview before but wanted to listen more closely to what was said. I appreciate having access to the archives via streamlink service.

Getler said Knights of the Golden Circle was a powerful group at the time but they went underground before the end of the Civil War. The purpose of their treasure was to fund another Civil War.

As an authority, he cites Bob Brewer, a descendant of a sentinel family assigned to guard treasure buried in their area. Getler believes there's "tens of hundreds of millions of dollars buried in the ground" in "highly engineered shafts and tunnels". He says some of the treasure is lost - there's encoded tree and rock carvings.

He says "Knights of the Golden Circle were a political and paramilitary organization and we believe they actually fomented the Civil War and got Lincoln elected as a lynch-pin for secession ... and once that had happened they later plotted to kidnap and kill him." They may still exist today in a different form but with a different goal than slavery.

Where the treasure is: Primarily in the south, but from GA to CA - AK, OK, TX, AZ... small stashes, large ones... gold coins and bullion bars robbed from Union treasury, stagecoaches, businesses. They were business men who were saving up for another day. Lincoln knew all about them. Pinkerton went after them. They may have infiltrated Union officer forces.

The Golden Circle was radiating out from Cuba. That's where they had or intended to have influence.

Bob Brewer's relative was still patrolling his area into the 1930's - '50's. There are maps but they are coded and there were the cryptic signs left on trees and rock faces.

Jesse James was a master commander of the Knights of the Golden Circle and Getler believes James' death was faked so he could run the organization incognito 1867-1900's. J. Frank Dalton (Lawton OK, 1948) is the one who was supposedly Jesse James - and there were two first-cousins (Jessie Roberts, Jessie Woodson James). His key symbols for gold are a turtle and turkey tracks - these show up where money has been found.

Getler said: "He never got rich as an individual... nobody ever knows where that money went from those 25 robberies... but it was buried underground for a cause, and that cause was a lifelong cause... and that's why this is such a fascinating story... sentinel families like Bob's ancestors were assigned to protect this money and they lived in poverty yet they did this job... from generation to generation and they pass on the coded secrets primarily to the sons..."

George asked if the organization had involvement with foreign countries.

"We believe that foreign countries primarily ... Britain, France, Switzerland and the Austro-Hungarian empire were very interested in seeing just what you said - America stay divided and weak and beholding unto the power base which may have had something to do with Masonry overseas, and they pushed slavery as the issue that would divide the country. They supported both the abolitionists and the secessionists at the same time."

Getler said that Britain and France were gearing up to come into the Civil War on the side of the Confederacy but they wanted to see some major victories first, and that didn't happen - Gettysburg and Vicksburg were lost so they started to back off.

Getler says the investigation continues with Brewer trying to decipher the coded messages he finds in the forest. It is ambiguous who would get the money if it were recovered. Could be insurance companies or others laying claims on it.

Symbols: crescent moon, five pointed star, turtle, etc... plus there was a hand signal - the index finger touching the thumb in a circle.

Callers:

A woman called in to talk about three caves she knows of from her childhood in WV - one with a wolf and crescent moon symbol on it. She says they are still there in a hollow and nobody would explore these caves. She found KKK medals with a burning cross. It took her over half a day to get in there. They thought they were Indian caves. She planned to give Getler directions. Getler says engineers from Europe came in to create these caves and some are booby trapped and dangerous.

The next caller was from Hot Springs AK - he said their local paper is called the Sentinel Record (founded in 1875) and that the man who founded it also built an observation tower on the mountain downtown overlooking the hot springs. He's heard stories of this area being interlaced with caves. When the hot springs were capped off a few years ago the park service sealed off one or two of them that were downtown. One of the main thoroughfares that runs through there is called Albert Pike. He's heard that Frank James (brother of Jessie) had a home at the base of the hot springs - currently there's a large hotel there that's been there since the twenties. James lived there four or five years.

Getler says "That's the nucleus of it. Albert Pike is the mastermind of these depositories, that's what we say... it [Hot Springs, AK] was absolutely the hot spot of KGC activities."

The next caller wanted to know if there were links to the European banking system.

Getler says it plays a role - also the formation of a national bank that the European bankers would work through. He said the KGC was the American extension of the Knights Templar organization written about in the DaVinci Code (fiction based on the KT story). His book has information about the Templars - and the KGC probably modeled themselves on the Templars. One book about Jessie James says James was Rosecrucian.

The next caller said his father (who didn't know his own father) was taken it by a inn-keeper in Marion KY - the inn-keeper said a man who often came into the inn was Jessie James according to the inn-keeper.

Getler and his friend, Bob Brewer have been out there pulling things out of the ground - things that were buried like rifles and pistols, stove parts (probably money too). His book sounds fascinating.

Well, tonight on Coast to Coast Dr. Stanley Monteith of Radio Liberty (Santa Cruz, CA) was interviewed by George Noory - mainly on the subject of secret societies, the NWO, and related topics. George played devils advocate a bit goading Monteith into making conservative Christian statements that the very Christian George then seemed to disagree with.

A few months ago when George interviewed Kris Millegan about Skull and Bones I was shocked, but since then I've read so much about it online the stories about S&B, the Bilderbergers, Trilateral Commission and Council on Foreign Relations no longer amaze me. What does amaze me is that so many Americans are still planning on voting for either Bush or Kerry. Oh my. How naive can you get?

Dr. Monteith commented about that on the air tonight - revealing his preference to vote for a Constitutionalist candidate. That too amazes me. I mean, why vote in a party that's just for one religion? If the Constitutionalist agenda was just for promoting the Constitution without promoting Christianity along with it, I'd think it had a chance. Instead I think its another crummy Illuminati plot to divide and dilute the strength of the Libertarian party so there won't be a strong third party at all.

One of the most informative articles I've read lately is this one by Myron Fagon which can be found all over the web. Its long, but vital information if you want to know more about the origins of the secret societies that have taken over the US government.

Tonight Dr. Monteith and Noory discussed how the secret societies want to reduce the world population to 500,000,000. Monteith said, "I've been to the Georgia Guidestones which is in Elberton Georgia, and there inscribed [in these 19-ft. stones], there are four of them there in eight different languages they have this message - ten commandments, this comes from the dark side - this is an occult edifice known as the American Stonehenge or the Georgia Guidestones, and point number 1 is 'Maintain the world population under 500,000,000 in constant balance with nature.' Now - that doesn't sound too bad - until your realize we have as you say, 6 billion people. They're going to have to kill off over 90 percent of the world's population. Nobody knows who put up the money for the Georgia Guidestones. A man came to town back in 1979 with an anonymous name called RC Christian, but that wasn't his real name. He said he represented a secret group - they wanted to leave a message for mankind. And there they are - its an occult monument, and they have satanic ceremonies there, the witches are there, they even had UFO's hovering over the top of the Guidestones. You talk to the people in town - everybody is a little afraid to talk about it. There's only one minister that had the courage to speak up and say 'that's a satanic monument' and he's long since been driven out of town."

George asked Dr. Monteith to explain why we shouldn't want a one-world-government. I already knew the answer, but still thought it was a good question because I spent thirty-one years of my life in a religion that has that exact goal. (I left the religious life four years ago.) Anyhow, for those many years I thought the goal of a NWO was reasonable and desirable, and did so with plenty of naive trust in my religion's leaders, not even thinking what could be wrong with that.

Now its easy to see (now that I've taken off the religious blinders)... that a world government would lead to abuse of power... fascism... totalitarianism... with no escape.

George: "One world government. Just what's wrong with that?"

Dr. Monteith: "Well, what it will mean is the loss of all freedom and probably mass genocide. But let me give the background of this idea of world government..."

He then mentioned Nimrod trying to unite the world after the flood and then Plato...

Dr. Monteith: "...2400 years before Christ was born in Bethlehem and you have Plato writing his Republic. And if you read modern occult writings, they all go back to Plato. What did Plato advocate? He advocated a ruling oligarchy, a one ruler so-called 'just man', massive police force, military that would keep people in line, and then everybody else would be reduced to serfdom. There would be no families, all women belonged to all men, the children belonged to the state. It was a feudal type of society. That is exactly what the people who are pushing this world government today want. One of the men who advocated this back in 1870 - he was the inspiration for Cecil Rhodes who created first of all the Rhodes Scholarships and secondly the secret society that became the Council on Foreign Relations ... about 20 years after Rhodes died (Rhodes died in 1902) but Ruskin was a disciple of ... Plato - he read Plato every day - and this is the basic idea - it is to be an elitist concept with an elite that will rule the world because they know what's best for us common folks."

The Sunday night guest was Dr. Michio Kaku, a theoretical physicist who's most recent book is about Albert Einstein:

Dr. Kaku said "Genius is probably not born - genius is probably made. . . . The brain actually re-wires itself - grows in certain directions to consolidate certain new tasks that it has just learned. . . . In other words, Einstein was not a child prodigy. There's no instance where he dazzled his parents with mathematical ability as a child. He was actually kind of a slow learner for much of his early life but he had the ability to think in terms of simple pictures that grasp the essence of phenomena and he could stay with these children's questions for like ten years at a time - like 'What is life?' 'What is faith?'. He would stick with these questions for ten years before he could finally crack them."

Art asked, "What in Einstein's life made him what he was?"

Dr. Kaku focused on what he called "The Magic Years" - ages 10, 11 and 12. He said, "I think there are two basic ingredients that create the super-novas like Albert Einstein - they just light up the universe. The first is during these magic years, 10, 11, 12, 13 - before they enter puberty and junior high school and the conformity that we see in junior high school - there is an existential shock that they feel, seeing that there is a universe beyond Mommy and Daddy - with Einstein it was a compass needle, realizing that there were unseen forces that were invisible, that were guiding the compass needle. . . . The second ingredient is you need a role model. You need a mentor - somebody who guides you along. Sometimes that's Mommy or Daddy - but for Einstein it was actually a medical student who came by and tutored him a bit and gave him textbooks - and every week they would do a different textbook and it kept getting more and more advanced and pretty soon Einstein was devouring material that even he didn't understand. So it requires a guiding light, a mentor, a role-model. The role-model of course doesn't have to be a family member. For me, it was Einstein himself. Reading books about Einstein - that was my role-model.

One of the callers remarked about how easy to read Dr. Kaku's books are... that they tell about the world of physics in a way that's easy for laymen to understand. That makes me want to try one out.

I'm listening to Art Bell, Richard Hoagland and David Wilcock (a psychic) tonight. Richard is explaining what he believes the pyramids were for... prevention of pole shifts.

He's putting his evidence on his website to show 'something big is building' throughout the universe. He thinks we have 'ample time to even out the music so the earth does not flip'.

As usual... Hoagland is over my head. I'm sure he means well but his thinking is so 'out there'. Every time I go to his website the main thing I keep thinking about is how much he needs a professional website redesign.

He believes vital information about pyramid power is being withheld because 'somebody wants a lot of people to die'. He says people in the know are planning to do something for safety... while the rest of us naively remain in danger of death. Well of course there's people out there working on population control conspiracies.. that part makes sense to me. But I can't believe that a pyramid could seriously impact the earth during a polar shift. Maybe I should take time to read some of his evidence.

Think about it.

Hoagland thinks that those 'in the know' will head for safety at Mars while everyone else meets an unstoppable fate. Art pointed out this is unlikely since Mars isn't a tropical paradise. I agree... because wouldn't it be better to prevent the disaster than to run from it to a remote, cold, unfriendly-looking planet?

Art is telling Hoagland and Wilcock that he can accept the cyclical nature of disasters (pole shifts) and possibly the hyper-dimensional theory Hoagland is talking about (don't ask me to explain that). But the idea of people going to Mars and leaving us to die is unbelievable.

Well I agree with Art on this. If pyramid power could really save the earth, it makes no sense that scientists would refuse to divulge the information that could save us.

The evening's sad news was the tragic passing of scientist and writer, Dr. Eugene Mallove, who was killed by unknown assailants at his family home in Norwich, Connecticut. His website is Infinite Energy.

Hoagland is about to give a talk on Capitol Hill called 'Life on Mars and Other Fantasies That Are Real'. Should be interesting.

I re-subscribed to streamlink over a month ago and listen in most nights. I want to start writing here too. But it won't be daily. I've just got too many other things to do and can't take time to concentrate on every show.

I'm especially interested in the shows about secret societies - especially as they affect our government's policies. My main activism interest is in family rights and the scandal that we call child protective services - actually a huge government kidnapping organization that the public has been brainwashed to think is a nice benevolent child-loving service.

I've been looking for the source of the problem for years and finally ... I believe I've found it.

Molech worshippers need kids to sacrifice. Once parental rights are severed these foster children have nobody to watch out for them... nobody who really cares for more than the almighty dollars they might earn as fosterers or adopters who receive subsidy payments.

Too many are unaccounted for. Remember Rilya Wilson in Florida?

When I got together with my husband (almost) four years ago, he'd never heard of Art Bell. I proceeded to show him how much the show meant to me by listening to it almost every night. Well... he got hooked. Now, even though I'm too busy to listen in, Keith is tuned into the show. I think that's pretty good for a Christian who refuses to believe in the afterlife (until Christ comes back and rescues him, of course).

I'm not using this blog much anymore. In fact, I'm not listening to Coast to Coast anymore at all. I've decided I just don't have the time to invest in listening (just listening!) for four hours each night. Its sad, because I loved the show. But I started a webdesign business this last year, and that takes my time and attention at night. Also 2 years ago I started writing novels. I'm now writing my fifth novel and you know that takes a lot of time too.

So that's the story of why Linda never updates this site anymore.

Since I'm also not ready to entirely abandon it, I'll use it to post occasionally on items that may be of interest to Coast to Coast listeners. In other words, I'll be writing in here about the paranormal.

I did it - resubscribed to the streamlink... and I'm listening to George talk to John Ronner about angels on the battlefield. He knows about all kinds of angels ... the mysterious strangers, the disappearing helpers, etc.. but of course, after writing several books on the topic he's an expert.

John told one story after another. For example - one man camped near a battle saw his wife in a dream or vision, telling him to get up out of his tent and walk somewhere... so he immediately did, and then a blast threw him to the ground. The tent he'd been in had been obliterated. His wife, back home, had no conscious knowledge of the visions he was having of her.

George told his story about the depressed guy who found a man by a lake to chat with about his troubles. This was the second time I'd heard George tell this story. He must like it a lot. Anyhow a year later the formerly-depressed guy went back to the small town where he met the man by a lake only to discover the guy had died 15 years earlier. (Sounds like an urban legend to me!)

Nice to hear Art on the air again tonight. I loved the first hour... the news... even Linda Moulten Howe's information on SARS - it was just nice to hear Art and Linda talking together again. The rest of the show was on nano-technology. Art interviewed Wil McCarthy about how life on earth will change as scientists learn to modify atoms.... and though its fascinating... I missed open lines.

Good news.. Art's back started improving about 5 weeks after he quit the show and he's doing much better now. I'm happy to hear that.

Thursday night / Friday morning, April 3-4, 2003

Steve Quayle was on the show tonight talking mainly about SARS. He started by mentioning the massive underground tunnels in and around Baghdad (originally intended to be a subway). He also said part of Hussein's family is at a seaside resort in Syria.

George said, "Every American ought to feel proud with what they are doing over there," and spent a lot of time praising our troops.

Steve says this isn't all over yet, as there's still terrorists out there. He expects this war to be brought to our shores. He's put a lot of informative articles on his website to help us out in preparation for whatever comes.

His main topic tonight was the SARS epidemic. He said the Chinese probably developed this in a bioweapons facility and it may have gotten out accidentally. He also believes the death rate from SARS in China is under-reported. They say its 3.5% right now. He says people in their fifties are the most likely to get sick rather than the young or elderly this time. When George asked him how he would handle being in a situation like the grounded plane in San Jose the other day, he said he won't fly right now because of the way the air is recirculated. He says the original cases of SARS were definitely passed by airborne viruses.

He says some of the SARS victims are having symptoms of ebola such as lung hemorraging. Researchers believe SARS was human-created from several different viruses and they don't know all the components yet. They are concerned about it mutating. Symptoms are low-grade fever, coughing, profuse sweating, and general flu-like symptoms.

Elaine Mercado moved into an old two-story house in Brooklyn. Right away it seemed like someone was watching, but it took about a year until they started hearing their names whispered. After a while that went away and there was a calm before the storm. Next Elaine started having crushing paralysis attacks while in bed beside her husband. She didn't tell anyone in her family. She was a young student in a psychiatric nursing program. She went to a therapist for help. Eventually she told her daughter and she, at 12, was having the same experiences. Her daughter felt it was okay and something wanted to communicate with her. Elaine didn't want to relate the experience to anything paranormal. Her husband thought the whole thing was ridiculous and imagined, that they were 'hysterical women'. Then they started seeing tiny orbs - balls of white light. Only she and her daughters could see them. They were going down the stairs and across the livingroom ceiling into the dining room. They looked like they were bouncing, crystal or clear. She didn't know what they were but she felt they were okay.

There were doors in the basement about four feet up from the floor and she discovered her children were crawling into this fowl smelling space. She forbade her kids to go back in there. She found out her kids were playing with an ouija board and she banned that from her house. Then her daughter who was downstairs started screaming for her. Her blanket was being pulled off of her, perfectly straight. Elaine saw the end of the incident. Her daughter said she was seeing a mist that would go by her bedroom. So Elaine sat down there to see what would happen and eventually a misty 9-ft.-tall thing came by the room and she called a plumber thinking it was a problem with condesation. The plumber said there was no chance there was condensation. Elaine was in complete denial of the haunting.

Then they started seeing shadowy pillow shapes near the floorboards. There was no fear associated with this. There was another nine months of respite with nothing happening. It completely went away. Again. Each time when there was a respite, when it came back it would return with something added. It became more extreme. The next time something kept splashing her daughter with water.

After a few years she'd finished her nursing degree and then took a class in the paranormal. She investigated the history of the house and discovered the house had been sold many times over, and that it had been moved from where it originally was. Her daughters found rolled up newspapers in the walls from the 1890's and 1950's. Inside the wall there were rolled up newspapers with a tiny wedding dress in it. It creeped her out so she threw it away. Later neighbors then told her an elderly couple lived downstairs many years before and their son married a tiny woman and they lived upstairs. The young, tiny woman died there, upstairs in her house.

She was about to give a halloween party and her supervisor came to visit. She turned and said, "Your house is haunted. You have a tiny lady in a white dress hiding under the stairs. You have a lot of entities who need help." She was psychic and could see dead people. She went home that night and called the next day angry because she'd taken something (an entity?) home with her that kept her up all night.

The story goes on and on. ...and there's a book...

Confession

I confess... I've been listening to the show a lot lately and not writing a thing about it here. I've been busy with other writing projects and webdesign projects this month... I haven't had the peace of mind to get in here and give you a piece of my mind.

George is doing UNSCREENED CALLS now!!! GO George!! I'm so happy to hear that. Somehow it really livens up the show to have that element of the 'unknown' constantly coming at you.

I appreciate all the extra war coverage. It appears the nation is in collective shock again and having the opportunity to talk about it and hear informed opinions helps us cope.

I've started keeping a new war blog... it is actually the same one I started right after 911 happened... my first blog. The Freedom Journal. I gave it a slight update/re-design yesterday because I noticed some of the links were so old they no longer worked.

I loved the Bigfoot show with Dr. Matt Johnson of Grants Pass, Oregon (Thursday, March 11). I listened to it a second time with my 12-year-old son, Aaron. We live about 40 miles south of where this psychologist says he saw Bigfoot. In fact, we were right there at Oregon Caves exactly 1 month (to the day) before Dr. Johnson had his sighting. I remember the date because it was Aaron's birthday (June 1, 2000). However we didn't go for a walk in the woods which is what Dr. Johnson was doing with his family when Bigfoot sighted them and considered them an item of interest. His story is complete on his website so if you missed the show and don't have streamlink, just go to Sasquatch Site and read all about it.

I love Friday night open lines. On Friday, March 14 there was a special call-in line for aliens. I played that one for my son too (via streamlink). I was surprised - somehow he just doesn't believe those guys that called in were real aliens! I guess I'm more gullible than he is.

Last night there was a special call-in line for time travelers. I find those especially fascinating. Sometimes people call who make it all sound so real and believable. It makes me wonder if they're for real... just part of the fun of listening to Coast to Coast. I could never do it (call the show pretending to be something I'm not).

Friday night / Saturday morning, March 7-8, 2003

I love Friday night open lines. Lately it seems George is giving us two hours with a guest and then only two hours of open lines. I wonder if he doesn't feel as comfortable with open lines as Art did. I liked the way Art didn't screen his calls. George doesn't seem as spontaneous as Art did but I think over the course of several years he'll get away from trying to be like Art and will develop more of his own style, and it will be good.

He's moved to Los Angeles now. I am not a big LA fan though I live here in California - I haven't been there in years. I live about as far away from LA as one could get while still living in CA... I'm only 20 miles from Oregon.

So tonight George interviewed a friend of his, Leonard Horowitz... a medical doctor with a lot to say about the dangers of vaccines and the "superbug" and the "slash/burn" methods of caring for illnesses. He's very convincing but as you can imagine, not popular with pharmecutical companies. He said "I was shut down completely" when he went to talk to the legislature. Typical. Is our government interested in the truth?... or are they being paid off by special interests?... He says the hidden agenda is to depopulate half the world's population with chronic diseases like cancer and AIDS. Healing Celebrations is one of his many websites.

For the last two hours people called in to report scary, paranormal events in their lives. We heard about a hairy monster hanging onto a truck, a huge bird with a 25' wingspan flying over Phoenix, etc. etc. George also mentioned a website where months ago on the original website the guy promised to reveal the secret of some photos tonight. Well, sure enough, that startling secret has been exposed.

Wednesday night / Thursday morning, February 19-20, 2003

In 1953 at the age of 7, Riley Martin, son of sharecroppers, was entranced by lights moving in the sky. One light came close and he heard a summons. He dressed and went to the river to investigate the lights. He saw a star ship in a clearing - "I could feel the electromagnetic current dancing over my body." The ship was silver with a glass dome with beings. He wanted to take the dog and run but was hit with a blue-white light and couldn't move. The dog took off. Two people were standing there and walked toward him. They were wearing bubble helmets. They weren't taller than him. He was afraid. The said, "we have come again" - they wanted him to go with them and they promised to take him home again soon. He went inside the star ship. Lights were around him and his clothes deteriorated. He was sprayed - a decontamination process. They led him to a table and laid him on it. A light above him danced over his body up and down. He heard them talking telepathically, and he replied to them that they should let him go because his dad had a shotgun. They took hair and toenail clippings.

They left in the star ship, defying gravity. They told him to look back and he saw the earth going away. He heard a whooshing sound and they told him it was the moon. When they came "to equilibrium" they were at a great planet - Saturn. They told him to listen and there was the sound of many voices - it was the rings of Saturn "singing".

They approached the mothership at the rate of about 10,000 knots per hour. The female "Nella" took an instrument and rubbed it up and down his body, dressing him in a silken kind of garment he could barely feel. Approaching the "building" he was afraid they would hit, but their star ship stopped short, quickly. He explained in scientific terms how this worked. Hard for me to follow but perhaps scientists would understand more readily.

He saw hundreds of light ships flying about... from several different alien races including reptilians and human-like creatures. He got out and entered the mothership/building, met by a creature, "Tan", who became his guide and companion while he was there.

"They've known of this planet for 6 million years - they destroyed the dinosaurs..."

Three days later his family found him in a cotton crib, smelling of honeysuckle. There were military people all over the place "like flies". His family told him years later they knew he was safe (while he was gone).

He had no memory of what had transpired. "It would be 35 years until my memory was uplinked."

About the interview tonight he said, "You can believe they are listening."

Biabians. From Biabi. They once said to him, "Friend Martin, you have the innate physiological and spiritual abilities to equal your concept of God yet because of the controllers you are ... as naked apes with God, still we love you truly and hope you will survive the Armeggeddon that is coming nigh upon you."

In May 2000 the Biabians determined we have reached terminal saturation in terms of pollution and misuse of our planet. They say the only solution is to change to a different technology (hydrogen use) or from 2011 to 2012 a great change will come upon our planet.

He said 100 species have come and gone on this planet and insects will inherit this planet if we destroy each other.

"From the heartland of America, gateway to the west..." George reports St. Louis radio personality Nan Wyatt was shot to death, reportedly by her husband, Tom, who has turned himself in. What tragic news...

During the first hour Bob Reiss, author of The Coming Storm: Extreme Weather and Our Terrifying Future, spoke about global warming. He said if we quit polluting now, there's a chance for recovery. Otherwise our planet will be ruined. What idiots our leaders are, to allow this to happen! Just how much money does GW Bush make from oil imports every year? I remember Art interviewing this guy too... or at least, I think I do.

Coming Storm: Extreme Weather and Our Terrifying Future

He says:
"The earth is warming beyond cyclical rates."
"If we would cut down carbon emissions into the atmosphere, that would completely slow this down."

He got interested in climate control when he was writing a book on airplanes and spent a lot of time in the air looking down at our polluted planet.

During the last three hours of the show John Hogue, the Nostradamus expert, scared us all silly with prophecies about "Mabus" the Anti-Christ, and World War III. The story is that if Mabus is killed at the beginning of the war then there will be repercussions causing a 27 year war. Or not. You see, according to Hogue, Nostradamus wrote optional futures along with accurate prophecies so we will always be guessing about what will happen.

PROPHECY IS ALWAYS BETTER UNDERSTOOD IN RETROSPECT.

Hogue's study of prophecy is fascinating. I'd really like to hear about the religious movements he mentioned investigating. I've spent time looking into those too and would love to hear his observations.

I admire Hogue's way of being reserved enough to realize his interpretations may not be accurate. I suspect this may be learned from dozens of failed interpretations. He's been studying Nostradamus prophecies for twenty years now. Ask him about any prophecy and he can call it up on his computer and give his translation and interpretation.

"The future is not fixed," he says. We can still affect the outcomes of world events.

Speaking of Saddam Hussain, he said the best move might not be to kill him, especially if he's the "Mabus" mentioned in the prophecy. "Time works against tyrants," Hogue said, saying it might be best to let the man die of natural causes. Saddam is 66 now and was sick just last year.

What I got out of this evening of gloom and doom was the idea that if there's global warming, we'll have drought, and if the war comes, there'll be famine (predicted by Nostradamus). The message is to store food and water. We've heard a lot of this lately, haven't we?

Monday night / Tuesday morning, February 17-18, 2003

During the first hour (open lines) a trucker called with a fascinating story about phantom truckstops. He said during a blizzard he was desperate for a truck stop and pulled off at one that was exceptionally nice. The people were polite and friendly, the food was good and cheap, and the showers were free. He made note of the exit in his log book and intended to return there after dropping off his load. However on the return trip he discovered there was no truck stop at that exit. It was a phantom... perhaps a time travel event taking him to an earlier era. He has had two such experiences and found other truckers who claim to have had similar experiences. George said he might make a dedicated line someday for truckers to tell us more about this phenomena.

The guest for the night was Bart Kosko, an expert in fuzzy logic. I'm still not sure what that means. According to his website he's also into adaptive systems, neural networks, bio-computing, nonlinear signal processing, intelligent agents, smart materials and stochastic resonance. You just gotta admire a guy like that!

From what he and George were talking about I guessed this all has to do with building computers and robots that perceive and act in human ways, or in ways superior to the abilities of humans. One thing George asked was whether we'll eventually be able to download the contents of our brains into a database or computer.. and Kosco said yes, eventually that is likely to be possible, but with it would come a lot of legal questions about personal privacy and violations thereof.

Happy Birthday Charles, wherever you are!

Tonight Holly and Stan Deyo filled the air waves. Barbara interviewed them about Holly's new book, Dare to Prepare. The conversation covered many aspects of preparation for disasters, from how to pack a getaway car to what to store for the pets to water storage. Apparently the book is comprehensive. Holly's working on a new book now - about what places in the USA are safest to live in considering we're likely to be in a series of wars in the near future. I think she's also taking into account possible natural disasters.

Barbara seems to be concerned about her current hometown, San Francisco. Considering world tensions, it seems like a real target right about now. I have a son living in the same city, and I'm concerned about him too. Last night she made a comment about not knowing how long we'll all live. Tonight she said straight out that she's worried. I feel for her, and anyone else wanting to get out of the big cities right now.

In the 1990's I lived in the SF Bay Area - for five years I was less than a mile from Concord Naval Air Station. I prayed about it asking God to help me find a way out at the right time and as things turned out I'm much further north now, near the Oregon border. I'm still feeling unsafe at the thought of a country like North Korea tossing bombs over the Pacific, but somehow this feels better than being right on the coast or right next to a military base.

George interviewed Bill Tierney during the first two hours of tonight's show. Bill is a former UNSCOM weapons inspector who worked in Iraq in the late 1990's.

Through prayer and the help of a psychic friend he's convinced he's located a hidden uranium enriching processing plant at a power plant next to the Tigris River. They are calling this Iraq's "smoking gun". I kid you not. I don't make up this stuff, I just tell you what I heard. Please go ahead and check out the map.

During the first hour of last night's show Steve Quayle spoke about the immediate threat of war and what we can do to prepare. He found a book on the internet he linked to at his website... Nuclear War Survival Skills... it looks very comprehensive so if you're concerned, there it is, and its free information! Thanks Steve! I'm mostly not concerned, but today I heard North Korea has an untested ballistic weapon capable of reaching the west coast (where I live). Assuming their aim is wretched, I guess my life's in danger now... even though I don't live anywhere near a large population center.

Everyone had duct tape on the mind. Strange, just a year ago we only heard about duct taping rooms shut on Coast to Coast and now its in The New York Times.

Saturday night / Sunday morning, September 21-22, 2002

Barbara Simpson had a wonderful guest tonight - Tom Brown - a professional tracker, author of many books on that subject, and owner of a tracking school with expensive classes in New Jersey, Florida and California. I listened to the entire show - and encouraged my twelve-year-old son to listen with me. These are the kinds of lessons I always wanted for my kids. The gift of being able to go into the mountains and forests or any other wilderness and survive, living off the land... is a gift that would be useful throughout life.

Tom Brown - the tracker - said that the most difficult part of wilderness survival is learning what plants are edible and medicinal - and which ones are poisonous. However he mentioned near the end of the show that people can sense the plant and know the value via spiritual means. I always knew that, and have studied edible wild plants for many years. Knowing what plants can give sustenance is a form of security. In other ways I've used that inner knowingness - for example in cooking, I use it to know when something is cooked enough.

He doesn't put food as a priority in wilderness survival situations, though. While warmth, shelter and water are all vital to survival, some people can live for months without substantial food, if need be.

Wednesday night / Thursday morning, September 18-19, 2002

Art said, "I'm afraid I've got the smoking gun..." (sounds dangerous, doesn't it??) This is about the photos of doors he has on his website. He says he's "I'm not saying the whole thing was staged and fake because I'm a personal friend of ZW and I don't want to believe that." "they didn't go through the same chamber, unless these pictures lie"

Art has a lot to say about marijuana these days. The state of Nevada is considering making it legal, so Art is speaking out in favor of that. If Nevada voters approve this initiative, it would be the first state in the union to legalize possession of marijuana. For possession of up to three ounces of pot, there would be virtually no penalties.

This is pretty much a no-brainer. There's a lot of people using marijuana behind closed doors. I am not one of them - and if it were legal, I still wouldn't want to smoke it. There's a lot of non-users like me who don't think it should be illegal. Law enforcement officers should be working on more important projects. Marijuana is not as harmful as alcohol, and that's not illegal.

The bottom line is that the government needs to treat adults like adults, and let them make their own informed decisions on what to put into their bodies. I don't like using drugs because I like to use my brain - for writing, and other cool things. I don't like cloudy brain syndrome. If you do, well, that's fine for you! I am all in favor of you having the experience you want out of life, so long as it doesn't harm others.

So anyhow, Art's guest for the first hour was Billy Rogers, the campaign manager and spokesman for Nevadans for Responsible Law Enforcement.

They talked about the issues at length, saying for example that people go to Nevada to do things they can't do elsewhere (gambling, um... other things...) so marijuana legalization will not be likely to hurt tourism. In 2000, the FBI crime report stated nearly 750,000 people were arrested for marijuana nationwide.

I listened tonight. The show was hosted by George Noory. The first hour was about the TV program on Egypt - which I missed seeing... but the guest, Dr. James J. Hurtak, and several callers ... were unimpressed with the viewing of a supposedly hitherto-unviewed section of the pyramid. They said the show was well-produced but disappointing. There was a lot of build-up and expectation, then a big let-down when no awesome discoveries were revealed. That's so typical for these kinds of shows. Here's a link to Dr. Hurtak's website.

The rest of the show was about hauntings and cursings. George's guest, Richard T. Crowe, gives supernatural tours of Chicago, Salem, New Orleans and other locations. Right now he's working on a Highway 66 tour. That is sure to be popular. Here's a link to his macabre website. There were some interesting stories - but all so sad... so I won't repeat them here.

Anyhow, I've been listening to shows since the wonderful return of Art Bell and hope to pick up on writing again. I know there's people visiting this webpage every week and it would be nice to have something new to read, wouldn't it?

"I've found out - if you put a rocket on anything, it'll go faster," said ... - Art's guest this evening. Art, whose return to the air was a real blast for all those who missed him so much recently, was asking... why he would want to put a rocket on a wheelchair.

This guest had a fascinating hobby - a wild mixture of adventure and science. He calls himself Rocketman. This has been a life long obsession for him, and most recently he's been working on his first launch into space - along with a group of other similarly obsessed investors.

One of the main problems he's encountered with this project is an excess of government red tape. I can sure identify with that! Apparently some people working on his project have endured despair and have given up their dream of space rocketry just because our government makes it so hard.

For example, they had to do 1000 simulations of what might happen. This is a lot of work for a group of amateurs! They must be extremely dedicated.

Art too, seems obsessed with rocketry. He wants to buy a large rocket kit from ... website... to put in his front yard.

He built most of the rockets in October Sky and has worked on numerous movies as a rocket expert and stuntman. He says this must be in his blood because his father was an inventor too.

I've been working on another novel lately, and not too inspired to write about Coast to Coast. All it would take to get me started is a real Art Bell non-rerun on a topic that interests me... so watch for me to come back one of these days... or don't watch and it will probably happen when we least expect it.

Today was Art's 57th birthday. Happy Birthday Art Bell!

Tonight during the first hour Art interviewed Steven Greer of the Disclosure Project about his new statement that has been posted on Art's website for a few days now, Cosmic Deception: Let the Citizen Beware. Greer spoke about the corruption of our United States government in producing alien-type craft and using them to stage phony alien abductions to brainwash certain military people to believe in extraterrestrial existence. Some people have been selected very carefully to believe things that aren't true. These are "para-governmental secret projects" according to Greer. He has interviewed people on the inside. Deceptions range in nature, all the way to murder, according to Greer.

"There's an enormous amount of disinformation." -- Dr. Greer

About aliens - Art asked Dr. Greer how he can be so sure that "they" are completely benign. Dr. Greer said that because we're still breathing, it must mean they aren't completely hostile. He doesn't see any evidence that they're hostile though we as a warlike culture may like to imagine such things.

Art said, during this interview, "Our government - doing something deceptive - could it really be?"

Well, I'd believe it. Today I signed a document I'm very excited about.... hopeful about, even. It is a "Declaration of Hostilities" against the government agents that masquerade as "child protection" while acting to harm children and destroy their families. The main guest (after 11 pm) was Neal Sibley, who was there to talk about The Bell Witch.

It began in 1818 in Middleville, TN. The Bell family, a first-generation pioneer family, had been on their farm for about 15 years. One day John Bell saw a strange looking animal he couldn't identify, but that wasn't unusual on the prarie in the early days. He fired his rifle at the dog-like creature and it simply disappeared.

Some time afterwards, they heard scratching and knocking sounds outside. Later, they heard them inside... dog sounds, wings of birds, and the children were being attacked. It escalated. The house started shaking as if a clap of thunder went off in it. John Bell didn't want his family to talk about this to the neighbors. His wife, Lucy, and kids: John Jr., Betsy, and others older and smaller. Eventually John Sr. came down with a nervous disorder of some kind. They asked a preacher to visit the home and pray for them. He and his wife stayed the night and it was the worst haunting night of all. It was trying to talk, making lip smacking noises and laughing. After a few nights it developed a voice and it restated the preacher's prayer in his voice. It said it would stay until it killed John Bell and that he couldn't run because it would follow him all the way to hell. Everyone in the house could hear it. It said that Lucy Bell was the best woman that ever lived, and that it loved her.

General Andrew Jackson knew the Bell family because he had served with John Bell in the war. This eventually became national news, and anyone was welcome to come stay at the house.

Twelve year old Betsy Bell was hit and dragged by her hair, but other people would be treated good by it. It's favorite topic was the Bible. The purpose of the show is to reveal why God allowed this demon to afflict the Bell family. Sibley seems to attack some kind of importance to being able to reveal this on the Art BELL show to the nation... and Art says it is strange that in all his years on the air he has never learned anything about this Bell "Witch" before. Apparently "Witch" was used instead of "Demon" because of the terminology of the day in the early 1800's.

Eventually John Bell Sr. died and it was suspected that a bottle of poison was the cause. After her father's death, the demon was kinder to Betsy. The mother thought if you would be nice to it, it would be nice back. The Bible was a favorite subject and it would praise God. John Bell Jr. thought this was like the book of Job. Sibley keeps saying that "God allowed this to happen." The demon refused to allow Betsy to marry her boyfriend, who was a good man. It said it would never allow her to marry him as it would follow her. Not only did everyone in the family hear what it said, others including scientists would come to experience the haunting. Generally Christians in good standing were treated kindly and the original preacher was always referred to as "old sugar-mouth". It had several different voices - both female and male... one was called "blackdog". Sometimes it would show up acting drunk and all four voices would start talking at once. The thing could sing in the voice of an angel during Bible studies hosted by Mrs. Bell, and it could produce fruits. It had total knowledge of past and present, and could read minds and tell about everyone's private secrets. In this way it really forced a lot of people to straighten out their lives or they could be told on at church!

One incident - it liked a man from England... and told him he had a message from his relatives in England - so to stay right there and it would return in ten minutes with the message in one of his relatives' voice. Ten minutes later it returned and spoke in the man's mother's voice saying that she didn't know what he was doing in America but she wanted him to come home because she'd just had a most disturbing experience. Well, later when he returned to England, he found out his mother had been visited by the Bell Witch.

Sibley explained how he got involved in this story as he was not into the paranormal at the time. He knew the story was for him and discovered he had been born only a few short miles from that farm site.

In 1935 a descendant, Dr. Bell, published an account of the haunting. Another Bell gave an account called "Our Family Trouble" and it turned into the name of Sibley's screenplay.

John Bell Sr. died in December 1920 and it left a short time afterwards, vowing to return in seven years. John Bell Jr. was to be married at that time and the thing came back, saying it had been in the Dutch West Indes. It spent some time with him. It forecast things like future wars and his time of death. It said "the dead do not talk but a demon spirit can deceive you". It confessed that it was damned, so Sibley believes it was a fallen angel or demon. It left and said it would return in 1935. At that time the Bell family still owned the farm. Well documented events happened at that time but the family tried to keep it secret. It wanted to do something good for humanity at that time if God would allow it. Sibley didn't mention whether or not it actually did that.

After Sibley finished the script, he went to the farm to take this picture. The original farmhouse is gone, but he took a picture of a house he saw and an empty field, and it didn't show on the first photo, but in the second generation of photographs there were three strange lights. One of the sons of John Bell wrote in 1846 that it wasn't uncommon to see lights in the field.

There's a cave there that they used for storage and refridgeration, and the thing would speak from the cave. Now photos of the cave have manifestations of the demon. Sibley said from what he experienced, he believes, even without the history books.

Art says "It opens doors" like the ouija when you focus on these things. Neal says if you're right with the Lord you have nothing to worry about. He says you don't have to be on that farm to get the thing stirred up - but both Art and Neal say all you have to do is "invite it". Neal said "I can't believe this is in your family history and you don't know anything about it" and Art nearly came unglued. He asked Sibley to quit saying that. Art says "this thing has come after you now, hasn't it?"... and Neal says he has had some "disturbing experiences."

So he went to TN for research.. Knoxville.. he kept looking for information and things came to him. Everyone he asked for information, knew essential things for his research. A librarian in Knoxville pulled out a Bell Witch manuscript for him but told him to be very, very careful. He said a little voice told him to register his synopsis first, very unusual for a writer, in Jan. 1997... he did this. He couldn't write his script. He asked God to tell him the motive. He went to a bookstore in Mississippi with a lady, and he was walking out, and a voice in his head said "go back inside - there's a book on the Bell Witch that you need".... and sure enough there was a new book in the computer system of the bookstore that was on the Bell Witch.

The book that had just come out was a manuscript sealed since 1841.. by the man who married Betsy Bell. The spirit wanted Betsy to marry him, and not the other guy, because it wanted this info to be revealed. It was discovered in the attic of an old home by a lady in Mississippi. It had been written to a daughter of Betsy Bell... to be opened if the Bell Witch ever comes back. It came back to him when he was nearly dead, to tell him why he did what he did. The reason: John Bell Sr. was sexually molesting Betsy. "Their job was confession; my job was retribution." According to Sibley, the demon was cruel to Betsy because... Betsy should have gone to her preacher to tell instead of keeping it a secret.

He said another guy named Bell who had schizophrenia wanted to commit suicide after getting out of an asylum, but prayed one last time... and it turned out his aunt knew the whole Bell Witch story but she absolutely denied she was related to "those Bells". I think Sibley said that this was the man who registered a script right after Sibley had registered his script - like one month afterwards - it was really close. Sibley says he has his schizophrenia under control and is a wonderful person and a friend now.

He was going to change the title of his screenplay to "Touched by a Demon"... and a voice told him not to trivialize this by doing that. He said "loosen up, let's have fun with this." Then his tire went flat. They guy at the tire store discovered a ratchet extension inside the tire, that went in through the side... which the man said was physically impossible.

Art is saying that this Bell Witch thing is really starting to bother him. He said there was a cane in his family that traced every Arthur Bell back to the Mayflower. After he was an adult, his parents divorced and the cane went with his father and was lost. Now Art says he was born in North Carolina, his family history which was written on the cane is lost, and today is his birthday. It is starting to freak him out, but he doesn't feel that he is related to the Bell family that had the demon problem, despite Sibley's insinuations. He says it is Neal's story.

Sibley: "It will make sense later."

Bell: "Part of it is beginning to make sense now."

Sibley goes on - he realized he didn't understand the Bible and needed to learn about it in order to write the screenplay. He was going to bed one night and a voice told him to go turn on Christian radio and listen to a show right then. A man on the radio was explaining ghosts and demons, and he went the next day to buy the man's book. It explained everything he needed to know. The preacher warned him that Satan wouldn't tolerate the script writing... but if he didn't compromise the Biblical integrity of the script he'd be okay.

One night he got a phone call with static ... a strange voice said "Lucille" ... his inner voice, which he identifies as the Holy Spirit, told him the voice on the phone was "Lucifer". He thought it was someone from Hollywood on a cell phone. It was Easter weekend and he was going back to Alabama. He kept being told by his voice within that he would encounter a demonic spirit but not to be afraid as he'd know what to do.

His uncle had bought an old house and they were having trouble with a spirit thing in the house that was a light dancing down the hall. He walked into the house for the family get-together, but everyone was clearing out by the time he got there. He was given a bedroom in the beautiful old house to stay in, and in his room he started hearing strange sounds, then he turned off the light and then he saw a light dancing around in the room. He tried to reason about what it was and finally he realized it was a demon and he wanted out. It felt like slow motion just to get to the door. Then the Holy Spirit told him to deal with it, not to run. He turned to face it. He had to perform an exorcism - his first try - and he invoked the name of Jesus, which the thing didn't like. (His only training was that he had seen The Exorcist) It seemed to be working and then he turned on the light. He could hear something bouncing off the walls, messing with him. Sibley got the biggest Bible he could find. He said... "Lord, I'll stay here and be your servant but I'm turning it over to you..." and it was gone, immediately. He says you can't take it on yourself. He says he first thought he personally would remove it but he found out it doesn't work like that.

Neal says after that he issued an ultimatum - he asked the Lord not to let this happen to him anymore. He said the events that occurred were training for him. He became very cautious... and didn't want to compromise the Biblical elements. He says this was set up by God to reveal something to today's generation. It isn't that people stopped believing in God - it is that they stopped believing in Satan, demons and hell. Neal says the church doesn't even believe anymore. Only 41 percent of born again Christians believe Satan is real.

Sibley said if the thing didn't act up, people wouldn't believe.

The Bible says a demon could deceive us if it appeared as an angel of light. He quoted from the Bible ...
1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

Phones: The first caller was a Satanist who doesn't believe in Satan, he just believes in himself.

Next caller - mentions John Edwards who claims to talk to the dead - and they are demons, and it is strictly forbidden in the Bible.

Next - Says Happy Birthday to Art. :) He asks about the Bell story, compared to the Kennedy family curse. Sibley says, "The sin of the father will go down three generations."

Next caller says that the body of John Bell's former fiancé was found in the bottom of a well. She got info from a national directory of haunted places. That was in North or South Carolina, I think... (maybe not).

Someone drove a car into an American Embassy... where? I missed hearing all of this, and can't find this story on the web. [When the streamlink works again, I'll listen to it to see what this was about.]

Catholic Priests who abuse will stay in the priesthood but will no longer be allowed contact with parishioners. Art doesn't understand why they aren't thrown out of the church. Well, maybe it is because the church has their soul and wants to keep it. The men are considered priests regarless of how sinful they are. God forgives. Churches (some of them) forgive. Maybe some just want willing, cooperative slaves.

The governor of South Carolina ordered troopers to SC borders to protect the state from plutonium shipments. They will reject shipments of weapons grade plutonium barricading the state from the federal government. This sounds like civil disobedience on the part of a governor!

Potassium Iodine pills are being given to Vermont residents by the dept. of health there.

Yucca Mountain, the site chosen for a nuclear waste dump, was the site of a 4.4 earthquake today!

Art's Friday night question: IF Planet X really is going to come by and we have only three months warning, what would you do? Would the government tell us in advance or would they let us know the truth as they close the bunker door and go underground for safety.

The issue here is... will it come by earth in Spring 2003 causing major destruction and death on our planet? And if you find out it is coming and you have three months to prepare, what will you do?

Art was careful throughout this show to remind people that he is not a big "Planet X destruction theory" believer (neither am I)... just so you know before reading all these responses, there are those of us who think this could be exaggerated by doomsayers. I think of it as a fascinating sociological study on mass hysteria.

1. Shawn in MI wrote in to say he would rape and pillage.

2. A man called to say he hasn't seen the evidence but respects the guests who spoke on this (Mark Hazelwood and Nancy Lieder). He said if he thought it was really coming, he'd make efforts to try to help his children survive.

3. The next caller said it might take something like this to unify humankind, but sure there would be some who would rape and pillage. He doesn't think the government would tell us.

4. A woman called to report that it says in the Bible that Jesus made himself invisible and walked in the midst of His enemies.

5. Kathleen in Coeur D'Alene Idaho called. She asked about time frames and Art said 2003. She says the government won't bother to tell us until the very last week. Her observation - about Ed Dames... that remote viewers didn't see any future for themselves. She recommends Mary's Message to the World, a book written by a non-Catholic... and she believes it could all be true. She'd go to the northernmost part of Canada except that she can't take her cats, so she plans to stay in the USA and build a bunker.

6. A man in Iowa called to talk about the stock market, then said: "People who might know about impending doom are systematically pulling it out." "So they can spend it afterwards?" Art asked. He (the caller) said he would dig a hole if he knew Planet X was coming.

7. The next man started talking about loose women and philosophers. His best friend would take area 51 by storm, grab a flying machine, and head on out. He said maybe 6 or 7 out of ten will survive... and people would get religion... they talk about amateur astronomers leaking information and Art agrees that this couldn't be kept quiet until the last minute.

8. Jim from CT said if he was in charge of the government he would minimize it as long as possible in hopes it wouldn't be so bad. He brought up Y2K . Art mentioned that billions were spent on remedial actions beforehand. "What a tremendous exercise in controlled panic." - Jim said that.

A lot of people are talking about the third secret of Fatimah.

9. The next man said that on July 17, 1997 he started thinking about this... as something that would change the feeling of the world without completely destroying it. Art mentions a big flood and Noah who survived. So he (Art) says this is God hitting the "restart button" because of problems such as men and angels intermarrying (he must be referring to the controversial Genesis 6 passage).

10. Sheryl in TX says she would volunteer to be one of the loose women. She says if the Kokomo hum is the government making an underground bunker, she hopes there's enough room for all of us. They talked again about Father Malachi who said there was evil and corruption in the Catholic church. He said about the 3rd secret: "Think of the worst thing you can imagine.. it is worse than that." Nobody seems to believe the Vatican's press release about it being about an assassination of a pope.

11. A man says about politicians.. there's karmic law - if they go into a bunker, they will be hit by an earthquake and buried alive. He has been doing a lot of reasearch and he has problems with the 2003 date because of the Mayan 2012 date. He says he's always been a survivialist and he wouldn't go out without a fight. He would put together a group of friends to survive with. "I'll do whatever is necessary to survive." He would plan for a mechanic, stock up on weapons, etc... He brings up "expanded worldwide conciousness" and wonders if this would save us.

12. John in TX said ... "what are we going to do if it does happen?" He says we won't know what to wear when we get out of our hole... we won't know if it will be warm or cold. "How can you prepare for something that's going to be so massive?" He wouldn't ask the government for help because they would probably deny assistance saying "you made too much money last year."

13. Salt Lake City caller says "Planet X has nothing on you - I think you will kill me first"... she apparently has lost too much sleep due to severe addiction to Art's radio broadcasts. She has read Stichen. She thinks the caller who said the timing is wrong was correct. Based on Bible prophecy she thinks 1/3 of the earth will be poisoned, 1/3 of mankind will die, etc. so it wouldn't be nine out of ten. She'd move away from it with her kids ... to a spot she thinks is safe.

14. John from Louisville KY wonders if there's life on Planet X. Art says that's what he's heard. John has a son on the way in a month and he'd want to protect him by hiding in Mammoth Cave, which is near him.

15. Chris from Kokomo Indiana doesn't hear the hum.

16. Dan from Phoenix Arizona... says he's about 76 and is ready to go (in other words, is prepared to die). Art says he's almost 57 and thinks God makes us ready because as time goes on the world gradually gets less interesting, or something to that effect. Dan brought up Sylvia Brown, the psychic who compared this plane of existence to Hell.

17. "I've known for a long time that there was definitely going to be an event in my lifetime that would kill three quarters of the world"... a man said. Art responded, "So many people believe it that it must mean something." The caller says the world is more chaotic now. Art asks if slavery might return and the man says for a fact it will. He says he would be a warlord, not a slave. Under his rule, either people would unite or be annhilated.

18. Cell phone caller says he would try to survive. He believes the Bible says this is going to happen, and that demon things would be flying around and then there would be two prophets.

19. He recommends a book - "The Keys of This Blood" by Malachi Martin, someone he knew via political interests.

20. Another man from Kentucky says it could be out there and if so, "I hope there's life on it." He hopes that whatever's there will communcate with us as it roars by. He says first he would get his affairs in order, tell people he loves them, then hit the road for a while.

21. Trevor in Saskatoon says it won't be "hey how's it going" - it will be more like having an accident on black ice. He would take his son and g/f and go to his buddy's house and wait for the big disaster. "I'll just be sitting on my porch like I am now watching the police pull over the drunks."

22. Next man would stock up on food and move to Lakewood Colorado and "hope everything would turn out okay."

23. Steve talked about politicians and weapons. He brought up Y2K and Art said, "A lot of Y2K was overhyped." NOW you tell us! LOL Art says, "Now comes Planet X maybe!... Being prepared right now sounds like a pretty good idea." ((These sound like the words of someone who's selling something.))

24. Next caller says he doesn't think the government is telling us the truth because they say they see a meteor but they can't see a big planet coming at us? Art says, "Legit observatories and governments aren't saying very much about it right now at all." Caller says he and his wife are going to go find a safe place. Art asks about having a gun. The caller says yes, he'd have a gun. Art pointed out several times during the evening that everyone he asked that question of said they would have a gun.

25. David from SoCal called about the earthquake in Yucca Mt. - it was a 4.4 but there were 5 or 6 other earthquakes but if you look at the USGS, they all came at zero ground level. He thinks they are testing something up there. According to the USGS there are no known faults in that area. He thinks it is a sign from God. They think there could be bunker building there too. Art asks, if they get on their space ships and leave, would they invite him? He says yes, they should, because he's a good commedian.

Art says, "Despite it all, I feel love."
Hmmmm....... maybe too much good medicine Art?
He's been saying this kind of thing a lot lately.

26. Mary from Houston is open minded but "some days I just sit thinking 'what would I do'" - she lives near the Gulf and doesn't feel she has a chance. She and her husband are considering moving to the center of the US. She's concerned the government would declare marshall law and not let people move. She says she heard a lot while working at NASA as a contractor and heard things about planets out there that people aren't told about. They talked about one "way out there"... "Nebulin?" I think she's trying to say "Nibiru". Now she watches her grandchild as they talk about strange things like "I'd like to see heaven"... or "is it time to go to heaven?"

27. Next lady is yelling to "Steven" "He's Here!" "It's Him" haha .. that's funny. They're excited to talk to Art. She says she's an older heavy-set diabetic. Art said, "plump people might be looked at down the line in a new very respectful way." She says on old libraries and banks there's still the triangles for civil defense shelters. Art doesn't remember seeing one of those lately.

28. Keith from Hamilton Ontario says if he survives, he will "practice severe malevolence" on men and impregnate women to repopulate the world with himself. He believes he's omnipotent.

29. Natalie from Long Beach would travel the last three months and try to calm people down telling them it would be okay. She'd take a backpack and walk. "If you can make one person feel good then that person might make someone else feel good and the chain will follow."

30. Charlie, a truck driver from Reno, NV called with a couple theories. One is that Chinese people started keeping a calendar thousands of years ago and it may be when it (Planet X) happened last time. He says he has 40 acres and he'd let less fortunate people on though it is just desert. "I can put about five or six people in the truck I have."

31. "Early Happy Birthday Art," the next guy says. He is calling from near Bangkok. "Papong"?? Art asks in case of Planet X disaster, "How do you think Bangkok would fare?" The caller says it is very crowded there, like LA. Art says last time he was there the air was very bad. The caller is on vacation there for the first time in five years. Art says Papong is an area of the city known for the sex trade.

32. The next caller says he's trading in his internet business for a catamarand and heading for the Phillipines. He's 37 and is planning to retire. He's going alone as his wife left him several years ago. He says he's been sailing all his life. He said, "I think it would be good for earth if nine out of ten people died." this is because we have such a screwed up divisive society, there's no use in trying to fix it. He grew up as a Southern Baptist kid but by age 11 saw his second UFO and it destroyed his faith.

33. Frank called about the earth tilting on its axis. "If a force was strong enough to do that it would probably push us way out." He probably go to Pahrump to get Art's autograph, go to Europe, etc. - this caller was "way out there" allright.

34. A lady calls about the "pollyanna woman" (meaning Natalie, caller #29) to say "I think she'll last between five and ten minutes before she's gang raped and killed." She talked about a serial rapist in San Diego who raped about eight girls before being caught... and then a sociology teacher gave students an assignment to ask men, if they were sure they wouldn't have to go to jail would they commit rape - and 90% said yes they would and some said they had the girl picked out. Art says, "There's truth in what she just said - most of you guys know that." He also thinks women have been planning "something" for years. Typical man trying to turn the suspicion back on women.

35. Ray from Idaho called. He said "Earth Girl" (Natalie) from Long Beach might get raped but "don't forget, she did say she'd have a gun"... oh yes... but he does think people will pull together and make it okay after the disaster.

36. "Art, do you think that planets and heavenly bodies might move in the sky like birds...." she's saying they have peace and don't bump into each other. She's really far out. She said cars usually miss each other unless there's stress and then they are drawn to each other and collide. "There are no accidents." Well, I guess I just don't get it.

37. A man says he's in the air force and doesn't hear much about Planet X. He questions the speed/velocity of it.

38. A person says Happy Birthday (early) and says Art is a 1946 Rooster according to the Chinese calendar. This woman wants to say there's something positive that can be done. She says under Reagan the whole country got together and held hands. She says she took part... holding hands with strangers. Two years later, the USSR fell. She says we must do this to replace hatred with love and greed with generosity. She says she would be calling for publicity to ask people to get together and pray because the only person who can stop this is our Creator.

39. Kathy in Arkansas says her husband would wait for the government to come out of the bunkers and "take them out". Art suggests it would be easier to "seal them in". She would try to convince her family it was real and she'd go to her ten acres in Missouri.

40. A man says Planet X has already been through before and "people are still on the planet" ... and he says it would be captured by our sun and be part of our solar system.

Well now. Linda's take on the Planet X thing: I honestly think this is just another example of mass hysteria ... sheep leading sheep to believe something that's not accurate. If it happens, I'll be so very surprised, but not unprepared. Actually I prayed for help and deliverance about five years ago and knew God would lead me to safety when the time was right. Well, a bit over two years ago I was led to a nice remote river valley and there's underground places here where I can hide in if it looks like that's needed. However!... I don't believe this Planet X is a threat to us. One thing I believe - if it helps people to pray and put their trust in the Great Being, then it has achieved a good purpose.

Anyhow, when Summer 2003 gets here I'm sure they'll gleefully be adding Planet X Paranoia to the "failed" list at Failed End Time Prophecies.

Art opened the show with a news article from the UK: Now showing on satellite TV: secret American spy photos - for six months the US has been broadcasting secret spyplane satellite transmissions via satellite and the internet. Dumb. Art asks a good question - with our American freedom of press, why don't the interesting stories get published here? This one is again from the UK. Personally I think the answer to that is fairly obvious... which is why I have my own news website where I can publish what I want without any business interests telling me I can't. Anyhow they call it "US intelligence activity"... LOL what a joke. Their surveillance operations are broadcast over the INTERNET live and have been there for six months.

The official word from a NATO spokesman? "We're aware that this imagery is put on a communications satellite. The distribution of this material is handled by the United States and we're content that they're following appropriate levels of security."

90,000 acres have burned in Colorado - the largest known fire in that state.

Art has found a site for Nuclear Waste Route Maps - so you can find out how close nuclear waste will get to your house.

He read an email from a man who had found six dead calves. Some men arrived in a van and took the carcasses. The calves were carefully cut and certain parts taken, and there was no blood. Art asked the man to contact him.

Next were a story about an invisible driver at Dairy Queen and something about Inuits and climate change. After you listen to the show for a while you get used to hearing these things. I was in the IRC chatroom and we spent a good ten minutes at least just discussing the weather at that point in the show. I mean, who can forget that Art wrote a book about weather changes and it continues to be something he seeks to present proof on at every turn.

One of the callers in the first hour said there's a plan for a manned mission to Mars - page 31 of the July issue of Astronomy magazine? Hmmm. I think I missed some important details because I was busy chatting with all the nice people at #artbell - so hopefully if this really interests you, you'll figure it out from reading page 31. I used to subscribe to that magazine... believe it or not - I have spent many peaceful hours looking up at the night sky. You know what I'd like to do? I'd like to go outside and just lay down on the ground and look up at the sky for a couple of hours... but you know what?... I can't. And the reason why is that I could get eaten by a cougar around here. If not that, then maybe my dog would lick my face if it were on the ground and I just couldn't abide that. When I was a kid I didn't think of these things - I just did what I did, and obviously survived.

Raymond in MI called about Art's story about some guy in line at Dairy Queen... the story was about an invisible driver. The bag handed to someone and... flew through the air... and then the car drove off -- driverless. The caller said, if it was you, wouldn't you ask the person at the window about that? Makes sense. I just love people that think.

Morris in UT called to talk about mutilated calves. He said he saw one ... cut like w/ a laser... he has a photo and Art requested it. Seriously, this sounds like something I might not want to see. Art says six cows were mutilated recently. What else is new.....? Some kind of government coverup of dead cows? Cover them up is probably the right thing to do.

Jeanette.... wants to hear about Native American elders. She's probably talking about Red Elk but Art won't tell her. He says he has interviewed too many NA elders to name just one. Well, Jeanette honey, I'd tell you, but you didn't call me.

Dr. Baugh was on tonight. He's into proving creationism via scientific means. He talked about recreating the conditions here during creation. He is building a biosphere to match the original earth conditions. He says that the earth was smaller in the past (diameter was less). I've heard that before.

Baugh stated he used to be an evolutionist but now he believes that's only speculation and that creationism is firmly based in science. I admit this guy is way over my head. God give me open lines.... something I can understand. Don't you think that if there's an absolute truth, it would be something very simple?

Anyhow, I will go ahead and admit - I think that believing the idea that earth was created less than ten thousand years ago is something like being an ostrich with your head stuck under the ground. Obviously there's plenty of evidence that earth is much older. The idea that some guy with letters behind his name can come on the air and tell us earth is only 7000 years old by reciting a lot of half baked scientific theories really... puts me to sleep I guess. Or.. maybe I was just having too much fun in that chatroom.... but seriously, I think I tuned him out just because of the ridiculousness of the premise. In all fairness I will mention his website, Creation Evidence... because I believe in the independent investigation of truth. So there it is. If you want to look into it, I've just made it a little easier for you.

Tuesday night / Wednesday morning, June 11-12, 2002

I like the beginning of the show when Art reads the news of the day. Tonight he called for all the lines to be cleared so that people affected by the Colorado fire could get through. He reported also that Paul McCartney married Heather Mills today in a remote Irish castle. I'm happy for them.

He has a new picture of a flying saucer on his website along with the email he received with it.

He read a report about the smallpox epidemic in Pakistan. This is so sad... the people are not aware of the danger and are letting their infected children play outside in the community. Oh, I am so sorry for them. Art thinks this could be some kind of test infection. I thought so too. I am grieving the pain and loss of the Pakistanis, if truly they are enduring the ravages of this infection. I really believe that when one person on the planet is in the kind of pain those people are in, it affects the collective consciousness and all humanity is, on a sub-concious level, affected. It is a tragedy and since smallpox was eradicated years ago, the people of today are probably clueless on what to do about the symptoms. According to reports, the authorities have not taken any action to treat for this disease or do anything about it.

But look: an unconfirmed report in this blog says that inside information reveals this to be chicken pox, not smallpox. Wouldn't it be great if that were true?

The Colorado calls were next... 80,000 acres burned so far... and Art played "Listen to the Rhythm of the Falling Rain" to give the people there hope. That was one of the first three 45's my big sister ever bought - I was with her when she bought them in the late 50's on East 14th Street in East Oakland... near 98th Ave.

The first caller, Heather from Denver, complained about the smoke. I can identify... we had a big forest fire 12 miles from town last year and the smoke filled the air for about two weeks. I guess they aren't used to that in Denver. She had a lot to say about global warming, blamed for the intensity of this fire. The second caller remembers snow days keeping him from school and those days are gone. He says the weather change is apparently taboo in the media and was an unwelcome topic on another talk radio show he was on. He says "I'm not a doomsayer... we just need to discuss it." The next caller, Chuck, talked like someone used to being on firelines and gave a lot of history and information about the fires, strange absence of snow-pack, etc... and the last Colorado caller got into it with Art over something he said ten years ago (long time listener there).

So tonight's guest was Nancy Lieder - a Planet X theorist who claims to be a contactee in communication with extraterrestrials through channeling. She calls the creatures "Zetas". She was talking about experiences she'd had with ETs who came here "kind of like the peace corp". She says they can't go back because their planet has more of a gravity pull and they are acclimated to earth's gravity now.

Nancy seems to be confusing Christianity with her beliefs.. trying to add her reincarnation and alien beliefs into Bible prophecies. This is pretty "far out". She talked so fast I had trouble recording her words. She thinks the return of Christ prophecies are analogies for the coming of "good people". Well, I have heard enough to know I'm not going to agree with this person. I guess it would be cool if she just stuck with her new age beliefs but to try to tell us that Bible prophecies are about aliens and reincarnation is a bit much. However, that's free speech. We all have it in America, right? ...up to a point?

She's saying that we were genetically engineered by a lot of alien races, and that our split-brain is reptilian in origin. I'm sure you're all glad to hear that. Unfortunately I'm having a hard time believing anything she says. Well, maybe that's fortunate. She seems very sure of her information. She says next we're going to all be bald, because the aliens aren't done playing around with the human race. Art prefers to keep his hair, and so do I... why would aliens want us to be bald?

She talked about how they travel now [long scientific explanation went over my head] and said she has actually been off the planet... with her children! She didn't mention why her children went along for the ride. I wonder what CPS would have to say about that!

She says that NASA has been aware of Planet X since 1983 and they know where it is. "It makes this weird eliptical orbit ..." she said, and she expects it to come through our area in early 2003, less than a year away. Her scenario has 90% of the people on earth dying and only 10% surviving, with all people on coasts being history.

If this kind of thing bothers you I hope you'll read the article about Phil Plait, the astronomer, below. I liked his theories a lot better! ((Sorry Nancy, but nobody likes to hear one more prophecy about how they are 90% likely to die next year!))

Jim, a caller, asked why she said you should be at least 200 feet above sea level but then she said the sea will come up 600 feet. He used to work for the Defense Dept. and says they calculated that if the ice on the poles melted, water would come up only about 375 feet worldwide [I hope I remember that number right... well, it was 300-something]. Jim then lauched into Biblical teachings that indicate she's teaching "doctrine of demons". She says that the Zetas of course have a theory on the validity of Jesus. For some reason she seems to think this will be more palatable to Christians if she tells us the Zetas think Jesus is someone special.

The next caller said we should be heading for the wilderness but the US government prohibits us from going into caves and forests. Well, I hereby tell him I live in the center of a forest and there's a cave in my backyard. Do ya suppose the local cougars would be willing to share that with me, in case of emergency?

Next caller asked a question that she didn't know the answer to - so she started channeling the Zetas. It sounded like just plain ordinary channeling talk to me. She says she puts words to their concepts.

Well... okay. Here's my theory on Nancy Lieder........... I think she's going to be very embarrassed if we don't all get swept away in floods next year. If she's bothered by that, she could consider psychiatric treatment.

On the other hand if we all die thinking about Nibiru and wishing there were someplace to hide..... but never mind. I'm with Phil Plait on this. It just isn't going to happen.

Has anyone else noticed that 99.9% of all the prophecies we hear don't seem to be coming true? I'm very interested in seeing if what Scallion predicted last night will come to pass.

Monday night / Tuesday morning, June 10-11, 2002

Concerned about the current news story - about an American citizen who is accused of plotting to release radioactive material for Al Qaeda - Art brought Steve Quayle on the show to discuss terrorism. He dropped a bomb of his own - that there's a smallpox epidemic spreading in Pakistan.

Quayle believes that only about 1% of the terrorists have been eliminated, maybe less. If you go to his website and click on "Terrorist Map" you will see that Al Qaeda and other Islamic groups are networked across the USA.

After the first hour the scheduled guest, Gordon Michael Scallion, came on the air. He was a businessman in Florida in 1979 when he lost his voice while giving a presentation at a business meeting. This sent him to the hospital where he was hooked up to IVs while doctors wondered what to do next. That evening he had a vision in his hospital room. First he saw a glowing sphere, then pictures everywhere, then they faded and he saw the sphere again with the image of a woman in it. It was silent until then, but he could hear the woman talking to him, telling him to observe and remember. Then he saw images of the earth again, with North America divided into two parts. He saw the earth as if from outer space, rotating rapidly. After this he became aware of the TV again, and started writing down everything he could remember about what had happened. He thought he was having a reaction to whatever was in the IVs. It turned out it was just saline. In the morning he was able to talk again and left the hospital. To this day he doesn't know what happened to him that night. Art suggest it was either a brain problem or some outside force.

After this he had to pick a new fishing buddy because he was afraid to go out on his boat himself. One day he was telling his friend about a vision he'd had. The next day it came true. His friend recommended he keep a journal of what he was seeing. Then he moved back to New England and went into a long depression because of the visionary experiences that wouldn't stop. He started lucid dreaming and has made many prophecies.

Scallion says he expects more terrorist activity here in the USA but not anything major or nuclear. He expects attacks similar to those in Israel. He also sees the intuitive part of us expanding, especially with children. He sees a major transformation with education.

Scallion is best known for his prediction of earth changes and the maps of what he considers to be the future USA are on his website, Matrix Institute. He expects quakes in the near future in New York and on the New Madrid fault in the center of the country. He says the southern part of the New Madrid is most at risk and that it could be a major quake. Art says the last time there was a major quake there, the Mississippi ran backwards, and Scallion added that bells rang in Boston. He said quakes tearing at the West Coast would be later and he sees people leaving LA and streaming over the mountains to Nevada. He says this will be devastating but won't shut down the country. He sees the financial district in NYC moving... and lower Manhattan being hard hit by a quake. According to Scallion, the NYC quake will be first.

He said there are archeological discoveries already made that aren't released to the public yet, that will change consciousness, and religion even.

Asked about what he sees for the Middle East.. Scallion said he doesn't see a nuclear exchange between Pakistan and India, but he does expect a lot of unrest. He saw a woman with the initials HA who would lead Pakistan and that area to peace. He believes there will be some nuclear use in the Middle East. He expects the Palestinian problems to be resolved and later the major war will be with Iraq and Iran. His scenario is that a dirty bomb will go off in Israel and it will be tracked back to Iran... then more nuclear attacks.

He does expect a nuclear disaster in the USA but not in the short term, and he doesn't have a lot of information about that. He sees problems with boats.

Art asked about religion - during the next 20 yrs - wanting to know if there would be changes. Scallion said this is always changing, as there are constant fragments within religions. He said a warning sign is a decline of religion... and that he had said to watch for religious wars and hidden secrets detrimental to the Catholic Church. When that happens in 20-40 yrs, it will mark the change from religion to spirituality. He expects expanded awareness, a new spirituality based on respect for nature... with more belief in the Creator. "Right now we're in a monetary-dominated world..." with 90% of the wealth held by 1% of the people, which is really the basis of all the problems in the world.

He sees an economic meltdown in late summer this year. A decline in the market. "I don't believe that we're in this recovery that the spinmasters want us to believe." He expects problems in August and September.

A caller asked about the Seattle area and he mentions that when Rainier erupts it is the "final warning". I wonder what he means by that. The next caller asked about the predicted quake on the New Madrid Fault and he says he expects it to happen before the end of the next year and that not all of Arkansas would be affected but there would be new major lakes there.

I never know what to think about people like this that make predictions. I guess we'll just wait and find out. If a lot of the above predictions come true, I'll be surprised... and if it all happens and then Rainier erupts, I'll be heading east.

Sunday night / Monday morning, June 9-10, 2002

Tonight we listened to Philip Plait, Ph.D. - an astronomer who debunked the Planet X theory saying it just isn't going to happen. This should be a relief to anyone who, like me, isn't happy with the idea of civilization on this planet being wiped out by a passing celestial rock as early as next Spring. I am so glad George Noory brought this astronomer on the air! However, this is the same man who said just a few minutes earlier that he thinks a lot of UFO sightings are simply ignorant people looking at the planet Venus. Wow... that statement makes me want to laugh. I have seen quickly moving lights in the sky and it sure wasn't Venus.

This is a very interesting guest because aside from the Venus=UFO theory, he seems to know what he's talking about. It is unfortunate that he has such a low opinion of certain people leading the Planet X paranoia movement, and that comes out in his speech, but he has a point in that if their astronomical knowledge is lacking they might be coming to the wrong conclusions.

Plait's website, Bad Astronomy is devoted to clearing up misperceptions and myths based on astronomical facts. Now he has a book by the same name that George Noory praised as being easy to read (for those of us who aren't scholarly astronomers)...

He says he writes just like he talks, and he has a sense of humor, so I am guessing this would be a fun book to read. Doing a web search on his name, I found this interview that tells more about his philosophy of astronomy and the human tendency to jump to conclusions instead of consulting competent scientists.

When asked why he is so upset with paranoia purveyors, he comes right out and says that he doesn't like the effects they have on the lives of common people. He gave the example of someone who considered selling his house near the ocean and moving inland. Philip comes right out and says "Don't sell your house" ... because the Planet X thing isn't going to happen. So now instead of listening to Mark Hazelwood and moving hundreds of miles inland, you can listen to Phil, stay where you are, and if there's a devastating flood... oh well. At least you get to live near the ocean, while you're here. Not a bad thing at all, really.

Doing a search of Google groups I came upon hundreds of interesting, helpful messages from Plait himself. Anything posted on the newsgroups comes back to haunt you sooner or later.... because they are never deleted no matter how trivial. I saw someone on one list insulted Plait on a newsgroup as far back as 1990! However that was a rarity... most messages were of a positive nature praising Dr. Plait. Then I came upon this interesting thread in which he said he agreed that Art Bell is a cultural parasite. This was back in 1999 ... but he mentioned that he would like to be on the show to "give a bit of rational thought into an otherwise uncritical audience". I am laughing. Well, consider that term... a cultural parasite. Aren't we all cultural parasites? Is that really such a bad thing? If we aren't dependent on our culture for life, what else is there? Anyhow, Dr. Plait didn't coin the insult but actually was agreeing with someone else who wrote it. Some of the other scientists on the newsgroup were far more insulting to Art and his audience (that would be me) in their postings. It is enough to make a person glad they're not a self-righteous scientist. I still ascribe to the philosophy that it is better to be kind, offbeat and tolerant than to be factual, correct and rude. I'm not saying Dr. Plait was rude in the post about Art, but that some of the other scientists that contributed to the thread were downright obnoxious.

You know what was really funny, was that Dr. Plait agreed with the cultural parasite term while mentioning he would like to be a guest on the show because of the large listening audience. Hahahaha ... talk about parasite. But what would I know? I'm just one of those uninformed Coast to Coast fans... as Dr. Plait said, an uncritical audience member but one who is ready-made to accept real scientific knowledge should I be lucky enough to ever hear some.

Anyhow, I still think the book sounds interesting. I'm just having a little fun with doing the research on Dr. Plait and... the bottom line is... anyone who agrees with me that Nibiru isn't likely to come by and ruin our lives... is worth listening to... and I'm grateful for his outspoken and reassuring stance on this. Hearing it from a real scientist really makes my day... or night... as the case may be (and is).

Friday night / Saturday morning, June 7-8, 2002

First topic: Kreskin

After last night's disappointing Kreskin hype, Art Bell had the renowned "mentalist" back on the show one more time to tell him, in an angry tirade, that he is banned forever from the show, so long as Art is on it. Good decision, but... I would not want to be on the receiving end of Art's temper! Kreskin did the reasonable thing... he hung up after giving a few miserable excuses about why he's going to renege on his promise to give $50,000 to charity if no UFO's appeared.

In case you didn't get in on the experience, it was like this: Kreskin called Art and was on the show several times (briefly) to announce there would be "the sighting of the century" over Las Vegas on Thursday night. Naturally, hundreds of people went there in hopes of seeing alien crafts. Some came from many miles away, spending hundreds of dollars to have the opportunity to see the predicted phenomena.

When Thursday evening arrived, Kreskin had several hundred people in a meeting where they were um... not hypnotized, but something sounding exactly like it - according to them. They then went to the viewing spot a few blocks away. Sure enough, a few people thought they saw something and the rest just observed as nothing spectacular happened. This was all covered on Art's Thursday evening show during the first hour and Art even had gone to special effort to focus his web cam on Las Vegas just in case something happened. People involved in the Kreskin non-happening were invited to phone in to describe the event. The first one said, "Its already over and I didn't see anything." Kreskin later sent out a press release saying that he had conceived the event to show people how easily they were deceived, or something to that effect.

On the air tonight Kreskin tried to say that some people had seen something and on and on and on. This didn't soften Art's heart. Art was disgusted by the intent of Kreskin to use and deceive Coast to Coast listeners. He is now eternally banned.

Second topic: Krapf

According to Phillip Krapf, most problems of today are due to intolerance... too many groups are intolerant of each others' beliefs. Because of this, the aliens known as Verdants are not sure we're ready to join an intergallactic federation. According to email of dubious origin, the Verdants decided that if nuclear war begins here on earth, they're leaving. Who can blame them? Krapf was on the show for an hour to discuss this important message. The upshot is that if humanity is so immature as to poison their own atmosphere with nuclear fallout, then we're just not going to be welcome members in the federation. Makes sense!

Seriously, Krapf seems like a level-headed and believable guy, worth listening to. He casually mentioned that the Verdants believe in God and take interest in religions, respecting them as God's plan for humankind. He also mentioned that 99.9% of all the species that have lived on this planet are extinct. Cheerful thought.

Third topic: Open Lines

We all like them. Coast to Coast listeners are so cool. Usually there's one or more suggested topics, like rape by unseen entities or time travellers... but not tonight. This times there's an off-topic subject instead: "The Kreskin Affair". Art doesn't want to discuss it further and who can blame him?

"I think basically that love is the most important, powerful human emotion that exists and there's a lot more to it that we don't know." -- Art Bell ... he just said that on the air. Well, I tend to agree with this. If we were all better at demonstrating love in our lives this world wouldn't be in the mess it is in today. Humanity is evolving, and we're all changing along with it... growing in our abilities to express real love.

One guy called and suggested that we would be more successful against terrorists by giving them unconditional love. Art said it is possible, but is unable to do it and is still into righteous revenge for what happened on 911.

Anyhow, it was a great way to spend Friday night and just a very mellow evening other than the little Kreskin thing at the beginning of the show.

Monday night / Tuesday morning, June 3-4, 2002

Oh please... tell me it isn't true. Tonight's guest is spending his life obsessing over faces and figures he found formed by oceans and land masses. I am sorry, but I am not able to suspend disbelief. Maybe after I see his website I'll be one of those people he's talking about who finally "see it" and get into his world-view. Literally a world view thing. hahaha... so anyhow, at this point, I'm not impressed.

As often happens with Coast to Coast, I hear a strange mixture of things I like and things that I think are totally off the wall. I think looking for God's face on the ocean floor is beyond ridiculous, however I liked what this guest said about being accepting of the beliefs of people of other religions. Now, that's something I can really appreciate, despite his adherence to just one religion (Christianity). I mean, why stop at just one if you're really respecting them all? Nevertheless, he did a great job in speaking on behalf of tolerance and interfaith awareness.

Let me backtrack a little. Art's guest tonight is Lloyd Stewart Carpenter and apparently there's lots of people out there who think there's something to this and that it is like earthshattering news that God's face is on the ocean floor for all to see now, due to scientific advancement in the world... and well, it shows that Christ will come again soon, of course. Doesn't everything mean *that* these days? So Carpenter does have his supporters and you could be one of them for all I know. I'm not knocking it if you're a firm believer in this... but sorry to say... oh never mind... how about we just look at the pictures?

You know what I love about shows like these? I get to laugh. Laughing is good for the soul, and good for physical health too. I appreciate this opportunity. I like shows like this that bring me constantly to laughter. I only remember laughing this much one other time and I can't remember what that was about, but this is just great. I'm enjoying the program.

Speaking of religion, I've been thinking about my beliefs a lot lately. I think I've got my own religion. I call it the Linda religion... where I worship in the church of Inner Guidance. I love the Great Spirit, God... whatever you want to call the underlying spirit that operates in the universe... and I don't care what you call Him - it is mainly a matter of culture anyhow. Some people even call Him a Her and that's okay with me too. I think making a big deal of a genderless spirit's gender is a bit silly but okay, if it suits you, that's fine with me. I'm just so glad I finally figured out what religion I'm really comfortable with. I used to be a Baha'i, but found out I don't do well in groups and to be a Baha'i means to be part of the group. Eep. It is a very respectable religion, as religions go, but it just didn't work well for me. I'm a quiet loner type and was constantly uncomfortable with being pushed into the social butterfly role. Now my husband reads the Bible to me. He is totally against organized religions and going to churches or getting involved with religious people as they are often judgmental. I can live with his kind of Christianity and am so grateful that the spirit in the church of my Inner Guidance led me to him.

Okay, now you probably know more about me than you wanted or needed to know but it is a heavy religion night on Coast to Coast tonight so I thought I might throw that in.

You know, Keith, my husband, goes to sleep listening to Art Bell in the bedroom while I sit out here listening to Art Bell on the computer streamlink. Wouldn't it be a joke on me if in the morning I discover that Keith really believes in this thing?

Friday night / Saturday morning, May 24-25, 2002

Good news... finals week is over and I passed my EMT class... and I'm still here. Tonight Art's open lines was focused on people who have seen monsters, predictions for just the next six weeks, and women who have been raped by entities. The last topic seemed to be the most interesting, especially the story about a woman listening to the CB late at night when someone out there mesmerized her and then ... well ... you would have to listen to the recording. I am only glad it was not me. She ended by saying this creature harassed her for hours and then she found out the CB had been left on and there were people listening in. Hey, I don't make this stuff up.. I heard it on Art Bell's show.....

Monday night / Tuesday morning, April 29-30, 2002

I enjoyed listening to Art's interview of Hal Lindsay tonight. They started off good, with the Biblical view of the problems of America's children... school violence... however when Hal got to the part about Christians disappearing in a "rapture" before the appearance of the anti-Christ I admit my willing suspension of disbelief once again failed me. I am big on belief in the Bible but my rational mind doesn't accept that interpretation of I Thessalonians 4:16-17. I believe the rapture has a spiritual meaning which has nothing to do with bodies disappearing or floating up into the atmosphere. Anyhow, may God bless us all in the difficult times ahead.

The first hour of the show was a blessing...... we got to hear Art interview Nancy Sinatra, who turned out to be a very likable person with a sweet, soft voice. It is enough to make me want to go right out and buy her new CD.

George Noory had an interesting guest on tonight... he presented the case for a coming ice age. It is enough to make you dizzy... wondering whether we're going to have global warming or global cooling. Maybe the two effects will counterbalance each other and we can just have normal weather. How about that?

I have not fallen off the edge of the earth, and my part of California has not (yet?) fallen into the ocean. I'm still here and usually listening to the show on nights when Art is on. I've been so busy with other aspects of life that I haven't taken time to write in here, and apologize for that. Something good is coming one of these days, no doubt. I see Red Elk is returning to the show this coming week.

On Friday night there was a good open lines show. I was surprised - Art asked for time travellers to call in to talk to us about the condition of the world at this time... and (unless I missed something)... none called. It was eerie... the absence of time travellers when requested. Very strange.

There were some interesting stories from callers. One was a man who was having it out with himself in front of a mirror... really getting into a heart to heart talk about life and honesty... when suddenly he noticed he was still moving but his visage in the mirror was not. This spawned a series of mirror calls. Another story was about a group of cats conversing back and forth with each other and eventually winding up in an argument. A human who tried to intervene in the cat fight was told in plain English to get away ... by a CAT. Well, I believe this - not only because my cats are so expressive in their conversations with me, but also because when my daughter was 18 months old, before she started to talk much at all, one day we were staying with a friend and I was trying to confine her to her playpen... when she looked at me in disgust and said clearly, "get your hands off of me". Hmmm.. I'm not sure where she learned that but it was the only full sentence she said before the age of two. She did not like being restricted from exploring my friend's house. Apparently the cat told the human... pretty much the same thing.

Tuesday night / Wednesday morning, March 19-20, 2002

Art opened the program with information on the Larson B Ice Shelf collapse. He says the Ross Ice Shelf is likely to go next, and claims that if that one goes it will force relocations along the coast. Moreover he reports that the northern (Arctic) ice sheet could disappear entirely by the year 2050.

The theory is that ice melts will dilute the salinity of the oceans enough to bring on a new ice age. (( Long scientific explanation goes right over Linda's head. )) "It all adds up to a rapid climate change - perhaps underway right now," says Bell. :)

Art recommends we view Staggering end to Antartic ice shelf... where you can see the ice shelf collapse animated, plus a map of Antartica showing the locations and sizes of both the Larson B and Ross ice shelves. Larson B, the section that has now broken off the continent and is floating as icebergs, was an area larger than the state of Rhode Island.

Next he reported on a "dead zone" in the waters off Florida, extending into the Gulf of Mexico. Fishermen are reporting "viscous, slimy water" with what looks like spider webs in it... something far more sinister than anything they've seen before. Scientists intrigued by mysterious 'black water' phenomenon; collection of samples to begin today "It was black for 40 square miles, I had never seen it like this," Tim Daniels, a fourth-generation commercial fisherman out of Marathon, says about a black patch of water that was spotted first in January, traveling from the waters of Marco Island to the Florida Keys.

An enormous floating ice shelf in Antarctica that has existed since the last Ice Age 12,000 years ago collapsed this month with staggering speed during one of the warmest summers on record there, scientists say.

My question: Where's the Tsunami we were expecting? Now Art tells us the Arctic ice is melting too and we'll have a navigable ocean there soon. Hopefully - if there are flooded areas due to this warming - everyone will have time to relocate safely.

After that there were open lines where Art's favorite topic was the stupidity of our leaders in Washington in naming the newly-announced "Shadow Government". He joked that the main residents there must be shadow people. He also pointed out that the only branch of government represented in this "Shadow Government" is the executive. There's no legislature, and no judiciary. Now THAT'S FRIGHTENING!

Wednesday night / Thursday morning, February 27-28, 2002

Art's guest tonight was William Thomas, billed as a journalist, author, and videographer, the same journalist who broke the story on chemtrails - on Art's show - months ago. He has a new book out: ALL FALL DOWN: The Politics of Terror and Mass Persuasion. It is the inside story of Sept. 11 and the subsequent American attacks on Afghanistan. Chemtrails are similar to what we have known for years as contrails - condensation left by passing airplanes. The difference is that chemtrails contain chemicals of some kind that are being distributed into the atmosphere from US military tanker aircraft.

Thomas says that chemtrails, besides being used for weather modification, distribute a chemical that acts as an antenna in the air. This has helped guide weapons in Afghanistan - he claimed, since _before_ Sept. 11.. although he didn't elaborate on that point. I would guess it is covered in his new book. He says on Sept. 12 there were nine military flights – Air Force tanker planes -- from Ohio to Virginia. There were chemtrails covering 24,000 square miles. They seemed to be spraying particulates to create a cloud cover.

Thomas says this chemtrail program has been happening for years. If is is for our well-being, why hasn’t the government come out and told us what it is about?

As for substances that may be used in our air, dynojel is commonly used to break up clouds. The jell then falls down to the ground. Aluminum oxide is said to be inert and non-toxic but it is hazardous to lungs. Barium is toxic in low amounts. It doesn't sound good. Art believes that for the government to be willing to take this kind of risk with our health, the stakes must be very high - in other words - something very serious must be going on that they are hoping will be solved by whatever is in the chemtrails.

At the end of the show a caller asked why the USA suddenly reminds us of Nazi Germany. Art didn’t agree! Thomas did! Well, I do think this country has become like Nazi Germany. Maybe this is new to the rest of you with curtailment of freedoms since Sept. 11, but parents who have been tagged by CPS for child-abductions have known that for years. So many people complain about their property rights, taxes, and other things that are taken from us by big government, but how about *children* taken without Constitutional due process protections, on false, trivial, or flimsy charges. Wonderful interview tonight with Eric Burdon of the Animals... he is talking about his life as a rock star, about Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon and so many others! It is enough to bring me out of my retirement here. I was shocked to hear how their money was stolen to use as seed money to launch Hendrix's career, how Jimi died with nearly nothing in his bank account... it is just terrible how these musicians were used and mistreated.

Well, buy Eric's new book and I'll be back when I can... I'm taking some classes and have a lot of irons in the fire right now... so no time or stamina to write about Art much. His show is still *the best*.

Friday night / Saturday morning, January 25-26, 2002

Ken and Sherry in the Portland area called Art last night at the end of the show. Tonight Art got them on the line to tell their entire story of poltergeist hell in an old 1910 era rental house. An entity attacked Sherry for months and it wasn't until Ken actually saw the evil creature that he decided to move out. Men! Apparently Sherry still loves him though - they're still together. This is one of the most horrifying poltergeist stories I've ever heard. The parts that got to me were when she went to her son's room in the middle of the night to turn off his blaring radio and the radio kept saying "time to kill, time to kill". Plus there was a dog called in to search the place and he went into full doggie panic in the basement. Plus there was several incidents of the entity holding people down with their faces in their pillows. Not nice! I would have left sooner, I think, but I identified with Ken's statement that they stayed on because of a poverty issue - no money to move. I was in a trailer in the Kerman CA area and had a similar thing happen, but the poltergeist in my trailer wasn't as hateful - it just seemed to want me to know it was there.

Some guy called - an astronomer apparently - and told Art that there would be a huge comet coming by earth tomorrow afternoon... between 6 and 7 pm Pacific time. He said this would cause electrical storms here and we should shut down electronic equipment. Now, how would I know if that were true - I heard locally we're to expect snow tomorrow.

The whole evening was weird - all open lines about monsters, poltergeists, shadow people, and other strange stuff.
